When I run a bandwidth test on my connection it has consistently tested higher than the package I pay for. In 6 years of service my internet has been down one time. Customer service has been excellent the few times I have had to call. Very pleased with our provider!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Internet is intermittent. Center closes at 4:30 MOST people are still working at that time. No one is accountable for anything. Three times I've called with various questions and no one knows the answer and I'm told I'll get a call back and never did. My LAST experience I went into the service center to pay my bill and I paid exactly the amount I was told by the person at the desk to pay. A week later my services were cut off and I was told I paid the wrong amount and I had to pay A reconnect few for BOTH of my internet connections as well as my phone line for a mistake of the person at the desk. This company has no accountability, I was told the fees are mine to pay because even if the person at the front desk gave me the wrong amount because they mailed me a bill. I'm still confused about why they have a person at the front desk if they Ares allowed to give wrong info and then charge fees. They dug up my backyard and left it in shambles for nearly 6 months while they ran fiber. They are EXTREMELY overpriced, they are complete bullies because they are the only option. If you have an option choose someone else, if you have no choice; get ready for a ride. I HATE this company.

Fast and easy process. I was able to stop the day I called and pick up a router, plug it in with the easy drawn instructions from sales rep Alex. We were able to stream within 15 minutes of plugging in. Alex called a few days later and verified everything was going well and to make sure nothing more was needed. I also received a hand written thank you from Alex in the mail. I am Thankful Alex was my Sales Representative, very friendly and he also didn't try and up sale me. I told him i needed simple/cost effective package for my son to stream Netflix and that is what he gave me, did not try and make me go with a bigger package than what I wanted.. I will defiantly be passing his name to anyone looking to start service with wiatel.

Service tech is great... He is here so often I almost consider him part of the family. Phone line is fine. Internet is the wretched. It works half of the time....slowly...like dial up. Hell, I think dial up is faster. I know we need a new service line they always claim we dont. They will not do it. They have fiber coming in the next few years, so why spend the company money to satisfy a costumer. Previous owner did not even have internet. She was in her 70s. When we moved here they did not put a new line in, so you can only imagine how old the line is. Anyhow, if you are lucky enough to have a choice, don't chose them for internet.

Let me start out by saying I have never had luck working with this company, and neither has my family. Sure, people have good and bad experiences - But when nothing is resolved, ever, things start to get annoying.

I have had service at my new house for a little over a year now, made the switch to fiber (the outdated copper was worthless) thinking it would greatly benefit my business I run from home. I was wrong.

I pay for the 50mbps package, roughly $100 a month and I rarely see over 30. I have made this issue apparent numerous times, the first time they sent someone to inspect the connection and they found nothing wrong, and the last few times I just got the classic “Everything seems fine on our end”. This latency drop has been an issue since day one.

Recently, about a month and a week back my fiancé notified me of our WiFi being down. This is usually a common issue, happened nonstop with the copper stuff also - My parents had the same issue - I figufed no big deal we can reset the modem and it should be fine. That did not help, so I turned on my computer that I run via Ethernet - Absolutely no connection, but it shows the router is on and available on the connect option. I called about the issue, and the kind lady on the phone told me she will send a crew to address the issue, nothing spoken of a service charge. She called me the next afternoon and told me a wire happened to be damaged, mind you this wire is exposed to the outdoor elements, and they repaired it and I was set.

Monday, November 19 2018, I called to pay my bill since I was out of town for the week for work. I was told my due balance was $213 and some odd change - I thought straight over it thinking my fiancé may have dropped off our last month payment somewhere else, but quickly remembered I was with her when she dropped it off so I called back and asked why it was that amount. I was told there was a service fee for that wire repair of $100 and somebody odd change, so I instantly became aware that I was part of some misunderstanding since this was never notified to my attention. I then asked why my internet is never the full mbps and was told “You usually get half of what you pay for” so I said that sounds like a major ripoff, I will speak to the manager.

I asked to speak to the manager, Kim, who proceeded to tell me the damage done to the wire was my responsibility and at my fault because it was on my property. This doesn’t sound right to me, a wire left exposed to nature and damaged by nature is out of my control. So I proceeded to attempt contact with the General Manager, Heath.

Heath returned my call the next day, which is today November 21st, and was instantly very rude. He notified me I was on speaker because Kim was in the room with him, which is fine, and asked me what my issue was. I proceeded to ask why something exposed to nature and damaged by nature was my fault, and he said “Well you have a dog, that would be nature right?” And I said my dog cannot reach that side of the house and if she damaged it, the damage would be far worse than a simple cut wire since my dog is 130 pounds. He proceeded to ignore that, and said “If this is all you’re going to say it is old news as it’s already been brought up to my previous crew. If there’s nothing new to bring up this conversation is over.” I then said “how can I control nature, I don’t believe I should be held accountable for that.”, and I was told “I guess we have different opinions on things.” I then said “how do I know one of your guys didn’t damage this, and not my dog or a rabbit or squirrel?” and he replied with “We are done here, the charge applied is correct in our view.”

This is downright ridiculous customer service. Anyone who treats customers this way should be brought to the public’s attention. I do NOT recommend.

Great value for a great package of phone, internet, and cable! The fiber update rocks! We switched from Dish Network to Wiatel cable last year and have been very happy with our decision! The internet service is top notch for all our streaming needs!!
