This place has a smart selection of first run cinema as well as really great special screenings where legends like Martin Scorsese or Julie Andrews will show up to present. Awesome selection of kids’ movies on Sunday afternoons too. There’s a bar upstairs as well as a library room to hang out. A total gem.

I wasn’t expecting how much I would love the environment of this place! The seats are ok but certainly not bad! The boxed water peaked my interest and was fun to see! The popcorn smell was a great add when I walked in the door. I loved how when I walked in the lights dimmed. Very relaxing.

My family and I were so excited to see a movie on Christmas Day, and as we walked into the theatre 15 minutes before our movie started, every seat was taken except the first row and randomly scattered seats. The theatre was very overheated and claustrophobic, and the only way to sit near each other was to sit in the first row 5 feet in front of the screen. We knew this would make for a horrible Christmas Day event and asked for a refund or to exchange to see another movie. The staff were dismissive and told us they do no refunds, exchanges, etc. So our options were to break our necks and sit in a hot room full of people coughing/sneezing for 2 hours, or lose ~$70. We took the loss and are still hoping for a fair resolution as long time locals who have continuously supported this theater, before and after it burnt down.

Perfect place to go on a rainy Saturday night! Loved the post showing Q&A event this weekend. Space is retro and modern, well designed. The 3rd floor bar was cozy and fabulous - great cocktails, great bartender.

Love the remodeled cinema. The movie rooms are clean and cozy, the staff is very friendly. They select current releases as well as interesting independent films. I like that I can purchase tickets online but it would be great if I could reserve specific seats in advance.

love this theatre. i was in the old theatre seeing the last showing of moonlight, right before it burned!!! i do miss the old theatre and the large screen but they have done as excellent job on the new building. the "museum" part is really wonderful to learn some history. i love the bar upstairs and that you can take your drinks from there to the theatres. i always try and make time to stop upstairs because of these two things. love having good movie choices again.

the one thing.....the popcorn sucks! it tastes like it already has butter on it and it has made me and my friends sick on more than one occasion. i cannot have it anymore.

This theater is a sag harbor classic filled with history, love, and tons of nostalgia. If you’re in sag, or even East Hampton, why not take a ride over to sag harbor to watch movies in comfortable seats and delicious snacks. The way that my back feels on their cushion seats and the way that their popcorn makes my mouth water makes it one of the best theaters I’ve been to.

P.S. they also offer private screening rooms for families or even an adults night 😉
