Meridian instantly lands in my Top.Coffee places rank - no doubt about it. This spot had been on my list for a while, but since it was out of the way, I hadn’t made it until now. We happened to be passing by, saw it was nearby, and decided to stop in. What a find.

I didn’t research its history beforehand, but once inside, you can feel the legacy of the place. It has a cult-like charm, an atmosphere that suggests it’s been around for something more than just coffee. The interior is incredible - huge vintage maps, antique furniture, and an old service elevator that seems frozen in time. The bar is well-stocked, and the whole space has a refined but effortlessly cool vibe.

What makes Meridian even more unique is that it shares its space with other interesting businesses like Teal House Bakery and a vintage clothing shop. Instead of competing, they create this synergistic mix that makes the whole place even better. This is how shared spaces should work.

It’s not just a coffee shop - it’s a destination. Perfect for breakfast, evening drinks, meetups, or even a date. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.

We saw Will Reagan and friends while enjoying their unique herbal mocktails. It's a lively venue for bands and I love the modern coffee house/saloon feel. Very high value for connection and quality conversations.

Very rad atmosphere. I love Oxford Exchange in Tampa and this is similar. The shop is adorable. The lattes are perfect. The atmosphere is unbeatable. There's a bar and a stage, too. Unfortunately, I missed the timing for the bakery, so I didn't get to enjoy a pastry, but they have good pre-packaged food options. Gorgeous use of space and a perfect little downtown, small town location.

Absolutely love Meridian in Buda. It’s one of those rare gems that feels both intentional and effortless. The music is always on point—I’ve discovered new favorites here and even caught some of my all-time favorite bands live.

The historic building has so much charm, and the new deck is gorgeous—perfect for soaking up the sun with a drink in hand. During the day, it’s the kind of cozy, welcoming third space that makes you want to stay awhile.

The people who hang out there are just good vibes all around, and it draws a thoughtful, creative crowd. It’s an easy drive from Austin but feels like a mini getaway—Buda has that small-town magic without being too far out. Can’t recommend it enough.

Meridian has become one of my go-to coffee spots in Buda. The coffee is always on point: smooth, flavorful, and consistently well-made.

What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. The baristas are always friendly, welcoming, and clearly care about what they do. It’s the kind of place where you feel good walking in and even better walking out with a great cup of coffee in hand.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality coffee and good vibes all around.

We loved Meridian's happy hour, having discounted well drinks on a Saturday afternoon. Their coffee and kombucha were good too.
The bright, stylish bar, and many tables made the place feel welcoming and comfortable. The bartenders were friendly, helpful, and patient.
The adjoining shop and restrooms made it an excellent place to pass the before or after drinks.

I wanted to get out of Austin for the day so I drove out to Buda. Meridian was like a breath of fresh air walking in. Only a few people, the baristas were kind and patient. I ordered the summer special, a campfire cold brew but opted out of cold brew and did the special as an iced latte instead — I am not joking when I say this is one of the best drinks I’ve had at a coffee shop in a long time and let me add — I drink a lot of coffee. The atmosphere here is incredible. Cool lighting fixtures, natural sky lighting, plants, a full bar. Connected to a market and offering teal house bakery. 10/10. I wish this spot was closer to me. But I will definitely be back.

Intimate venue with great cocktails and a small town vibe. We got to see The Bright Light Social Hour here and it was such a cool spot to see them.
