Etex has horrible service. My wife and I work remotely and the internet keeps dropping every 20 minutes. Unfortunately we have DSL because we been with etex for over 6 years it seems like the only people that get fiber are the new customers. We even upgraded to the higher package which is supposed to give you 50 MBPS download, we are lucky if we get over 30.I tried to get a hold of technical support but they lady that was helping was very rude and pretty much said " you should get another service provider that can give you what you need". I will be taking my business somewhere else.

Sam in Tech Support at Etex was fantastic! Knowledgeable, polite, patient, and helpful. We had an equipment hacking issue and he knew exactly what needed to be done. He walked me through the steps and stayed on the phone with me until I could confirm it was resolved. Best of all, he seemed happy to help me! Refreshing in light of most company's approach to customer service these days!

We’ve had the same wifi package for the last 10 years, in the last few weeks my wifi HAS NOT WORKED. I’ve had several technicians out, gotten a new router and modem, and the only thing I’ve been told was that I need to upgrade. The last guy who came out said there was an issue on their end he fixed it and that we need to upgrade. The issue was fixed and my wifi was working fine or so I thought. I get up this morning, I’m the only one up and it’s not working. I called tech support to see what can be done and he tells me there may be a $75 charge on your bill.. ABSOLUTELY NOT this is ridiculous.

I have a fast and reliable fiber internet connection way out in the sticks. I am very impressed with the service after having it for three years now. It has only been down 1 time for a very short duration while I have had it. Also, it's fiber and very fast! Impressive. Highly recommend.

🚨ALERT🚨 If you miss a payment (in my case, I thought it was on auto draft) and your service is disconnected. You will be charged $50 for a reconnection fee. That's $50 for a process that not only takes a few hours to happen but is completely done via a computer system that is more than likely automated.

Service wise. I can't complain. However, the level of greed on a reconnect is somehow worse than what Blockbuster would charge for not rewinding a vhs tape.

I'm not blind to the fact that it's ultimately my fault, but that still feels ridiculous and sets people up who are already struggling in a tough economy for continued issues.
