Visitors often praise the unique and whimsical nature of the Prada Marfa installation. Many comment on its well-preserved condition and the picturesque setting along the remote highway. Some reviewers have mentioned the occasional presence of left-behind items, such as the vacuum cleaner mentioned in one review, which adds to the installation's charm and creates a feeling of a real, albeit abandoned, store.

Prada Marfa is not only a fascinating art piece but also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts. The stark contrast between the sleek, modern Prada store and the surrounding desert landscape creates an intriguing and visually striking backdrop for photos.

While Prada Marfa may not offer any actual products for sale, it remains a must-see attraction for those visiting the area. Its proximity to other artistic landmarks in Marfa, such as the Chinati Foundation and the Marfa and Big Bend galleries, makes it a key stop on any art lover's itinerary.

Such a fun spot to take photos. It has been here since 2005 but is still in great shape. We were passing by near sunset. Make a quick stop and be sure to take a lot of pictures. There was a vacuum laying on the floor in the β€œstore.” That made me laugh. I guess someone got distracted in the middle of some clean up. Check it out and all of the fun art in Marfa. If you love this trying look for the Starbucks Art a bit further South near Big Bend. Super cool and much lesser known. I have pictures on my profile if you want to find it.

Such a cool art piece in the middle of nowhere. I have seen so many photos of this prada store but didn't know it was an actual place. As my boyfriend and I were driving through Texas I found this place by chance on Google maps!

My boyfriend was kind enough to take a detour for me just so we could visit. In my opinion it was 100% worth it!

If you're prepared then bring a lock or something unique for their wire fence!

A cool and iconic spot to visit in West TX. Only about a 30 minute drive from Marfa. Not much to see in between but enjoyed the views of mountains in the distance.

I was expecting a lot of people to be pulled off here but we were the only ones! Surprisingly in excellent shape still. Love a quirky roadside stop.

Had to take a break before heading to Big Bend National Park and this came outta nowhere on my right view of the car. Like this piece of art installation located almost in the middle of nowhere. Took the time to walk around this spot to see a lot of locks on the fences, the note of this art, and the whole dimension of the building. So beautiful and neat πŸ’―

It's a sculptural art installation by artists Elmgreen & Dragset. It's a cute pic place to stop by while on our road trip to Big Bend Park. You can't actually go into the store, but there are displays of 2005 Prada bags & shoes. There's also a fence to put a lock on.

It's in the middle of nowhere so on a long drive a great place to stretch your legs. Bring a lock for the fence...it's a thing ya'll. Park on the railroad side for the best photos and not the building side. We went both during the AM and the PM and both lighting were good. A great place to people watch.

It's definitely a cool roadside attraction. Be sure to bring you a lock for fence, and if you have stickers, bring those as well.

I didn't know anything about this place, simply saw it on Google maps while on my way to Big Bend NP. I stopped at sunset and was the only visitor so I walked around taking pictures. It's an art sculpture of a Prada store, and according to the info about it on the plaque, the door cannot be opened so it's a time capsule. The handbags and shoes inside are from the 2005 Fall Prada Collection. It's an erie feeling walking around the "store" in the middle of nowhere and it has lights on inside, but it's peaceful and quiet all around. The fence surrounding the back of it is loaded with locks people have brought, I especially enjoyed the doorknob someone attached to the fence. But the graffiti on the building is pretty lame, someone always has to ruin something coolπŸ‘Ž
