Took my kids to the the Hive harvest festival , and the lady who ever you are!! was extremely rude to my kids. After waiting for an extremely long time in the balloon line, this unprofessional ,rude lady, told my kids they couldn’t get a balloon. My daughter started to cry. The way she talked to my kids was unprofessional and unacceptable. These are kids lady!!!! not grown ups. I’m super upset. I hope she didn’t speak as rude to other kiddos like she sure did to my kids. Of course I have to keep my cool because there were kids around. Never again!!!!!

This school is fantastic. The teachers are stern when they need to be. As the review below from "Rob". I've seen this as well and I have a different point of view. If kids are allowed to talk how they'd like during lunch, they won't eat. If a kid is sent home hungry, parents will be more upset than finding out their child was told to be quiet during lunch. As far as the recess goes. I would like them to be able to play more as well, but they have to set time for your child to learn. The more time they play, the less in class help they get. Recess isn't the only time they get to burn energy, if that's what he meant. That's why they also have P.E. Once kids get to 3rd grade, things get harder. Period. You DO have to allow your child to grow up. The Staff throughout Academy ISD are good people who balance fairness, kindness and discipline as needed. I appreciate that.

Beautiful, brand new facility, but I was super unimpressed in multiple ways at how this school operates and respects children. My third grader was not allowed to talk at lunch (“0 level”) and multiple times when I was there to eat with her, I was appalled at how these children were spoken to and bossed about. One 10-15 min recess for the entire day is unacceptable for an 8 year old. I met multiple times with the principal and gathered over a hundred signatures for a petition and was essentially told “I need to let my baby grow up”. The best thing about this school are the teachers- they were fantastic. We’ve been to two new schools since here and by far, this was our least favorite.
