Michael and the team at Beyond Publishing have worked with me on three books now and each time the experience has been amazing. Their expertise helped this first time author reach best seller status with my first book. Then we turned around and did it again with the second. Can't recommend them enough!

I had a fantastic experience working with Beyond Publishing on my book. From the start, their team was courteous, efficient, and incredibly diligent in helping me bring everything together—from the book cover to the interior layout.

We did encounter a couple of hiccups with pagination and a small issue on the cover, but what really stood out was how quickly and professionally they resolved everything.

Their responsiveness and attention to detail made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I truly felt looked after and supported throughout. Highly recommend them to any author looking for a publishing partner that genuinely cares.

I spent nearly a year conversing with Michael and Thom on this book idea for my grandpa. We had numerous virtual meetings and phone calls. It took me a while to find the time and block off my schedule to get started. Before signing the contract, there were several promises made, one being that the book would be completed in three months as that was all the time I could devote to it. However, delays started when Thom, Carol, and Elaine didn’t get back to me for a while—due to Covid and family deaths—and after three months, I started receiving emails with new team members assigned to the project. This caused further delays as I had to go through rewrites and edits of things others had worked on.

At that point, I became extremely busy, and scheduling meetings with everyone became challenging, especially with the time differences. I was traveling for half of the year, and Michael was often traveling, getting married, and managing his own commitments. This led to a lot of back-and-forth emails that sometimes took months to resolve. Eventually, I decided to accept the last version they sent as the final one because I simply didn’t have the time to keep reviewing the entire book.

When I gave the green light to move forward with the project and print the book, Michael told me 'You can move forward with self publishing. Best wishes' since the contract had expired after a year but mine was given lots of grace because it was 48 months. Though just a month before, he had asked for my trust, assuring me that everything would be completed with just one final review. I then reached out to Thom for assistance, but he asked for additional payment, which I wasn’t willing to pay. He said he’d speak with Michael on my behalf, but after several weeks of silence and ghosting, the same thing happened as with the rest of the process—weeks passed, no updates, and eventually, no communication at all.

This was the exact pattern throughout the whole project. I have all the emails and text messages to show anyone who’s considering working with this company. I’d advise caution, as their promises weren’t kept, and I ended up with a project that wasn’t completed on time as promised. Verbal promises should be part of a contract, but in my case, the three-month deadline wasn’t honored, and there was no reminder or follow-up about the project timeline when the delay has been caused initially from his side and later became a mutual issue.

It’s also worth mentioning that a month before Michael announced he was stopping work on my project, I started receiving unsolicited calls and texts from publishing companies. These continued even to this day, and I have a strong feeling that my information was shared or sold because I never gave it to any other publishing company, nor did I enter it anywhere online. I’m unsure how my details got into their hands, but it definitely raised a red flag.

Looking back, I can’t help but feel like I was scammed, despite seeing other positive reviews from people who might have had different experiences. I even met some other authors who were working with them, which gave me confidence in moving forward initially. But now, I can’t help but wonder if I was just unlucky. I could’ve had ChatGPT write the book for me for a fraction of the cost and time. I’m seriously considering whether getting a lawyer involved would be worth the time and energy.

In the end, I’m treating this as a hard lesson about investing in the wrong project with the wrong people, but I hope others can learn from my experience. It might work out for some, but it didn’t for me. So, I’d advise anyone considering working with this company to be cautious and follow up constantly, as you may end up in a similar situation.

Publishing a book is a daunting task; self-publishing is fraught with pitfalls that can be both frustrating and time-consuming. That's when I turned to Michael D. Butler’s company, Beyond Publishing. It took an experienced company with a global reach to not only create the visuals but also ensure the content was properly organized. Within a week of discussions, the name and cover design was finalized for "The Truth About Trump by Jonathan Pike", and the book was showcased at the RNC 2024 alongside works from three other speakers whose books were published by him. Their seamless onboarding process to Amazon has allowed my book to reach audiences worldwide. Trust Beyond Publishing to provide peace of mind in your publishing journey.
