Definitely have to check this place out if you’re looking for modern ways of taking photos which could be for anything. I personally liked the way how flexible it’s to have your photos being displayed to you and get to choose. I was looking for this one to put up my 2*2 photos for my EAD so I came across this place. I am glad I came across this place.

Get your passport photos here! Those chain places don’t give a crap about the quality of your photo, but this guy cares. And he’s good at it. And he’s nice. And he charges a very reasonable price.

Extremely helpful/quick/friendly. Took my visa photos and was able to talk to me a bit about what I could expect when I visited the Chinese embassy in SF. Was even nice enough to let me do a black and white photocopy for free!! 10/10 would visit again for all my photo needs.

Best place to get a passport photo. Quick, professional, friendly, and cheap. The shop itself has very eclectic, Berkeley vibes, and seems locally owned, which I prefer so much to the sterile Walgreens vibe.

I took my 5 years old daughter to Metro Publishing to have her passport photo taken. Frank at the store was very professional, he took many shots to get a good one out of a wiggly child! He was so patient and kind with my daughter; helping her focusing on the task. The photos came out great. I highly recommend Metro Publishing if you need a nice looking photo for ID 🙂

Frank (the owner) is a lovely and sweet person. I went there twice, 1) to take my visa photo, 2) to print pamphlets for my organization. He knew in details the requirement for Schengen visa photo and poof the process was only 10 minutes! The pamphlets he printed were high-quality! On top of the quality of his works, Frank is indeed an extraordinary person.

My organization runs biodiversity conservation programs with local community in Sulawesi, Indonesia (where I am from), and I could feel at my heart how Frank deeply cares about wildlife and notably people. I planned to print business cards, but because my wallet was lost, I was short in money and only able to print the pamphlets. After learning that I will use them for my presentation in advocating the communities, he then printed some business cards for free for me. I was so touched. I am an international student and he gave me advice on how to be careful in Berkeley. Definitely, this Metro Publishing is a gem, and Frank is definitely someone who is loving and caring about people.

They are very efficient during these COVID times. I was in and out here to have my passport photo taken.

I called in to give them a heads up that I would be coming in. They practiced all the safe guidelines. They only allow one person inside at a time. The perk here is that he took 3 different types of photos and gave me the option to select which one I preferred.

Parking was easy on a weekday afternoon.
