My landlord kicked me out because he couldn't find a place to live. I don't miss Hidden Valley one bit.. I found a place that's 6 times better. Living in Hidden Valley was so bad that I'm willing to go out of my way to review it. Security will go out of their way to fine you so they can get more money. If you fall out of compliance they might give you a warning or just send you a fine with no warning. Sometimes within just minutes of parking wrong. I got $1,200 fine for taking my vehicle off the immediate pavement. $100 fine for parking my vehicle on the side of the road in front of my home without moving it in 3 days. I paid my fine because if I didn't my landlord would have been responsible for it. They will take advantage of who ever they can.

Golf course Marshalls are all horrible at there job. I was walking on the golf course path well past the time anybody was golfing, and i almost get hit by a marshall (not a real marshall just security) and he starts cursing and immediately demands that i leave at once, and go around. I pleaded that there was nobody golfing and the course was completely safe to walk, but he only kicked me off to be a jerk. This has happened three times, same scenario. The association is rude and always charges overpriced fees. My central AC unit was struck by a golf ball, and my backyard fence was slammed into by a golfcart and the association refused responsibility for either of them. They are greedy and rude.

Seen an event being held for a fishing derby. My kids were excited to go fish. Woke them up at 5a.m. to be there by 8. Only to get to the gate and have the security tell us it's members only and we cant come in. They should really add members only to any future promotions and events to not waste anyone's time. And not make the events public as If anyone can go. Very disappointed.

Constant fighting between the association and members, poorly run by officials who have been voted out but refuse to step down. Overpriced HOA fees, amenities are poorly kept.
There are an elite few who make poor decisions despite the majority vote against those decisions. Security is a joke and basically non existent, non members are allowed thru the gates at all hours with little to no identity check. Members are not called or notified when identity is in question.
A $10+million public restaurant that serves mediocre food at best and is being built despite the no vote and recall of board members who approved the project at a devastating cost to the homeowners. This will financially bankrupt the membership and force many people to sell their homes at a great loss in order to escape from the Tierney of an out of control board.
Unless you are an avid golfer and not interested in who makes the decisions within the membership avoid living in Hidden Valley Lake at all costs.

My preferred guest gate sticker had expired so I stopped in to renew it, no cash, credit card or check only. As usual, the ladies were friendly, knowledgeable and took good care of me.

I picked up a *FireWire Evacuation Street Map* of Hidden Valley Lake, a must have for getting around and out when danger is just over the hill and getting to safety is imperative!
Masks required, all health precautions strictly adhered to. A 5 star experience.

The Board of directors is hell bent on spending 8 + million dollars on a new Greenview Facility in the Hope's that somehow it will able to not be subsidized by homeowners. The Board projection is that the HOA annual fees will be over $4,000 a year by 2024 to pay for it.. Now they are $2,200 a year.

Would be 5 stars if the overflow pond was stocked with fish more often.
