Charged $5 being 1 day Overdue due To a move within the city is ridiculous. Shouldn't there be a slight grace period. I paid it on the date it Was due But It didn't get posted till the next Day I was posted to my old address account. Salem.
Is awful about Penalizing people I'll mean well and pay that bill's On time. On another note, Joey in billing is great to work with. He's great at explaining things.. Travis not so much.

People make mistakes and one Day. should not cause a penalty of $5.When they have moved and changed addresses And account Numbers. I just suffered a traumatic brain injury And subsequent brain surgery. And i'm doing my best to keep my accounts straight. Cut me some slack Travis. I think joey would have done me better

Unwilling to help anyone in need, quick to cut off. Moved to a new house and am out of power, and despite having the appropriate paperwork in and it being a quick fit they refuse to turn on power until tomorrow. Small town monopoly, with little to no compassion. Very unfortunate experience

This review is in reference to my home water line bursting and leaking thousands of gallons of water before the city discovered the leak and shut the valve off. I was billed over $1200 for water that went into the ground. Does the City of Salem not lose thousands of gallons of water via old piping and sewer systems? Why require a working taxpayer citizen to foot the bill for something out of the homeowner's control? It's a very unscrupulous practice. Shame on you people! I've always received good service from utility billing. You folks could have credited the full amount of water that leaked. There was no justification for what you billed me and I had to pay.

My power was cut off and when I paid it they never came to cut it back on so here my daughter and I sit in the cold without power AFTER we were told they were on their way. So to the guys that decided to just go home without finishing your jobs… I hope you and your family is warm tonight

The so called manager “Travis” is the rudest, most condescending man I’ve spoken to in a long time. Customer service is disgraceful. He should be fired for the way he speaks to people.

There is no customer service! I call with a question about why my bill is so much higher than the month before and I was told " I dont know, I dont live there". The billing due date is different every month. I went to pay my bill one day after the due date and I get charged $15 extra for ONE DAY. I had no past due balance. A monopoly and people who could care less.
