First time here, recommended by a friend. Did not disappoint. Fast service, cool atmosphere at this location. Parking structure near by. Definitely walkable from a lot of places locally. Big menu with lots of options. Fair prices for what you’re getting. Tons of flavor! Highly recommend. Will return. Friendly staff that was also helpful.

Got the Large Firebird, $16.43 after taxes and before tip. Bread was solid, with a giant bed of lettuce and a healthy portion of meat and cheese.

Definitely enough food to share between two people. Seating was plentiful at 1:30 PM on a Thursday.

A top 5 sandwich in LA. This is an absolute must try.

The Melrose is a quality sandwich from top to bottom. Starting with the Boars Head meats, you know that you are getting top notch ham and turkey. The house slaw adds such a delicious layer and texture to the sandwich. The thick cut bacon and American cheese compliment it very well too. BUT the all star of this sandwich is the Dutch crunch bread. It has made its way to being my favorite sandwich bread. It has the perfect crust on the outside and the right amount of softness on the inside. In my eyes this sandwich is the closest thing to perfect.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Can’t wait to try the other sandwiches on the menu. Will 100% be back here soon.

Honestly just ok, the sandwich was mid. It feels like a sandwich I’d get at LAX, nice combination of flavors but clearly low quality ingredients. I’m a Front of House at a pretty popular bakery and the main reason I’m writing this review because I didn’t feel welcome to sit down, which is the point of having a counter.
I wanted to grab a sandwich on my way to work and sit at the counter to enjoy it and catch up on emails. I said for here, sat down and watched them slap together the sandwiches using microwaves, and as I’m getting out my phone to start on emails the guy is shoving my sandwich in a bag barely wrapped together.
I reminded for here and he straight up looked confused. I didn’t want them to use the extra paper goods, thats wasteful, another reason I said for here. And I kinda just said “I guess I’ll leave?” I contemplated staying for another minute but realized it’d be way nicer to just take it up angels flight and just eat it watching the view. Before leaving I out loud said “I feel weird” and they were clearly not paying attention.
Pull it together yall, I know it’s not your original location but at least make it approachable. Quality control covers customer service too.

I love a good sub, and I definitely found one here! I ordered the Uncle Nikki, which is basically an Italian mix sub, and my partner got the Santa Monica. The subs were HUGE at least 4 inches thick (you can actually have them double or triple your meat!), and they were soooo delicious. Living in upstate NY, I’ve had some amazing subs, and this place was right up there with ‘em. Highly recommend!

Solid sand which shop! I tried the Melrose (favorite) and Nikki, both great picks and full of flavor. I’d definitely go back.

Maybe I am being too picky, but Dutch Crunch? More like Dutch Mush. Not crunchy at all. Bread makes the sandwich and the bread is mushy spongy and gets soggy... Also, shredded iceberg lettuce is so lame. The sauces are tasty, that's about it for me. Big let down.

Two of us split an XXL Uncle Nikki and it was such a fantastic sandwich! One of the best Italian subs we've ever had. Everything about it was delicious and it really was XXL.
