There’s no way these 5 stars are real. Horrible company in decline (again) after filing bankruptcy a few years ago.

I also agree with the previous review in regards to employment(corporate office). I had worked for Acosta for 9 years. I received 1 raise after 2 years @ 2% increase even though my yearly reviews every year were always 3.7 or higher. (They grade you on performances that have nothing to do with your job, then tell you they have to automatically give you a 3.0) .. Why would I be graded for something that has nothing to do with me, but yet brings my score down? I hadn't received a raise in over 7 years, but yet they hire a new CEO with a million dollar sign on bonus and Managers receive bonuses every year?! This company does not care about their employees at all. Their mentality is that if you don't like it then we will just replace you with cheaper labor. They also outsource some work to INDIA. This company wants you to be the best employee possible for them with NOTHING in return. There are really good people that work there in which was the only reason why I stayed, but the managers on up the ladder truly only care about filling their own pockets. They actually had a corporate message board in which was taken down immediately after NUMEROUS people posted the same things I'm saying right now.. Instead of a raise at the beginning of the year they send you a statement detailing how much they pay for employee corporate insurance and benefits (never had a company throw that in my face), but keep in mind I don't use their insurance because it is HORRIBLE, so give me the raise instead?! HORRIBLE EMPLOYER** They now hire *contractors* instead of full time employees in many cases. Easier to not pay them benefits and you can terminate a contract at any given time. If you're looking to advance within a company and receive what you are worth then keep looking and don't stop here.. This company will not be for you, that's just honesty. I was right out of college and only stayed because it took me forever to find a job and they know that and use it against you. I finally just sucked it up and quit and I was able to find a better job within a month. ** They also down play your job title in order to give you as little as possible for a salary(hourly).. If this was a good company to work for then I would take the time to praise them, but trust me i'm trying to help people before making the same mistake like I did. ** I'd be more than happy to answer any questions if you want to email me.. Dont let the 5 star reviews that just say "Great Work place" fool you.. You should be able to read between the lines of the people making those post. (management of course) Good Luck!

If you're considering taking a position in the field with Acosta, BEWARE!
Very low hourly pay, never a full 40 hr work week despite being classified as Full Time, no raises, bonuses, incentives, PPE reimbursement, hazard pay during pandemic or opportunities for advancement & very high premiums for benefits offered.
They also "accidentally" placed me on a Leave of Absence during their Open Enrollment period, which rendered me unable to sign up for any of the insurance they were offering & left me without a paycheck for hours I'd already worked.
It took nearly 3 weeks & A TON of back & forth emailing, calling & submitting documents on my own time to have it resolved and no one but my direct supervisor ever even apologized for the inconvenience, much less offered me a chance to sign up for benefits.
They also have a habit of "fiddling" with your accrued PTO hours & "adjusting" or rounding your time after it's been submitted & it's nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone at corporate who's actually willing & able to be of any help with such issues.
If you're actually trying to earn a living, I do NOT recommend accepting employment with this company. Their corporate employees & officers seem to do just fine working from the safety of their offices & homes while reaping the benefits & the income their field reps bring in for the company.

just now
Worked for this company two times over a period of six years .Company stresses integrity but displays none, was asked to answer questions in a false manner numerious times as to please clients with work that was not provided. Was let go the first time without any notice( not even 1 day) as was over 200 plus employees. Called back three weeks later with job opportunity .Worked three more years same thing, let go with zero notice, this company has slipped to last among service providers. It is last in retail in regards to servicing clients at WalMart and for good reason. The competitors are far an away above Acosta in terms of service, INTEGRITY, and value.

This was soooo extensive with trying to reach the proper channels to of finally of gotten part of the issue taken care of; Which they finally did acknowledge that I was owed for 2 days of pay. I worked on MacDill AFB in South Tampa; I worked as someone that pulled and shelved merchandise, produce etc. within their Commissary. However getting there was overly time consuming to say the least. A family member of mine works within the same company as the vendor I ended up working for, which was the 2 days. My sister told the vendor I was looking for immediate work once I made it into Florida. That vendor contacted me by text, and then emailed me a letter basically stating my job duties and a ready to start date once I arrived. Once I made it to Florida I was at the store with my sister and the vendor. She explained and showed me what was needed. I started work right then and there. The following day the vendors mom (who works there) showed me a few more things and that I would be her go-to person moving forward. The mom also stated something about her supervisor would be in touch with me to set up a time to meet and discuss me having my own vendor account. The next day I didn’t hear back from her so I called the vendors mom; she stated that I should have been in the store by a certain time. But that part was never official. There was much confusion on this matter. But even though I missed my time slot to see her supervisor/land this account; I did also mention to her that my sister and I would like to be on her work schedule (one vehicle). They assured me I completely make my own hours and I could basically come and go as I please. So I lost this account and went to work later that day, as it’s on the same schedule as my sisters’. The next day I was advised that my services were no longer needed and that as far as payment is concerned, I needed to discuss with this supervisor. I called; he didn’t call me back. I tried again and we spoke for a few minutes. He said that I wasn’t on their file. My first day of working there was on a trial-by-basis only. And the second day he wasn’t even sure why I was there to work at all. He told me I initially wasn’t going to be paid for my 2 days. It took me getting ahold of their HQ (Acosta Inc.) before he acknowledged I was owed for those 2 days. The lady that made the payment part possible was very helpful. And all was good on that up until the supervisor stated I have to fill out a PrimeTeam New Hire Contract Form(s) first.“Who’s PrimeTeam!? There’s pages of stuff for me to fill out; DL/SS card info to be paid out for 2 days and then I’m let go? I shouldn’t have to fill out A New Employee contract packet when that’s not even the case any longer. They owe me $60 bucks minus a New Hire Booklet...Period!

I visited the Jacksonville office off Southpoint Parkway. The office manager at this location was a very rude older woman wearing glasses. She was extremely unhelpful and rude as I inquired about The Acosta Company. She told me to go to the company website and made me to feel extremely unwelcome. I would recommend you take your sales and marketing needs elsewhere and find a company that treats potential customers with decency and trains on customer service interactions.

Horrible work place .. Building Manager worries more about inner office politics rather than changing the light bulbs and making sure the bathrooms are cleaned. filed chapter 11 (seen this coming years in advance) with many employees not receiving raises for years , but all those white collars were sure stuffing their pockets .. corporate office is an absolute joke to work at .. do yourself a favor and skip this headache of a work place.
