Our travel agent booked us a tour here on Monday the 12th, but when we arrived, we found out that the center wasn’t open for the season quite yet 😅 …

Despite the communication error from our travel agency, Mark (I believe his name was) offered to take us around their exhibits— which was more than generous!

We greatly appreciated being able to see the dwellings of each tribe of Alaskan natives along with Mark’s detailed lectures of their history. I highly recommend 👍

The building is beautiful. The dancing was amazing. I was disappointed that there were no hands on activities or displays. I did enjoy the hand made items for sale. Wish there were more.

I visited the holiday market and bought incredible hand made items. I spoke to several native Alaskans and heard some real-life stories. Absolutely a great time. I looked at the exhibits and learned a lot. The place is well set up and organized. I highly recommend visiting and learning about other cultures and those that were here LONG before us!!

Beautiful grounds to walk around. An interesting tour through a variety of native cultures, houses, clothing and artifacts. The pond in the center of the property is a tranquil setting. The staff was friendly and informative. There were presentations about native games and music and dance and indoor exhibits as well. I enjoyed seeing the garden with vegetables and flowers.

AMAZING experience!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU VISIT!! The Native Heritage Center is a very spiritual place. Yaari Walker was a fantastic guide and curator of the 11 indigenous Alaskan Native Cultue groups. The exhibit structures and the many stories each structure told was very insightful. My family and I enjoyed every minute of our time at the center(dance, music, handmade art and exhibits) and walking the grounds. I highly recommend visiting the center but, more importantly, make the time to go and immerse yourself into the land and the exhibit structures on the property at the center to understand the culture and how the structures were used for survival against the elements.

My wife and I were visiting from San Diego, as we have relatives that live in Homer. This was the highlight of our trip! The Native American culture is amazing and beautiful! I'm so impressed! It truly gives me hope when I see the young adults taking part in sports and music, to keep the heritage alive and well! It is so important!

Very nice facility to learn about Alaskan Indigenous people. There were live dance performances, plenty of storytelling, and awesome exhibits to further your knowledge of Alaska's first inhabitants. Highly recommend the walking tour to the many different "camp" exhibits of the different tribes. I thoroughly enjoyed the Alaska Native Heritage Center and encourage you to visit!
