Best packrafts in the world hand crafted in Mancos Colorado. be prepared to wait a few months they are hand made!

taken this thing everywhere and through some hell. no leaks, no patches, amazingly tough weighs 2.5 lbs. This is the alpaca scout. taken it on some big water and still felt super safe. I'm 5'10 150. I've thrown 50 lbs of gear in and still felt real stable

Excellent company. I have been packrafting for years, and the products Alpacka produces have always been the highest performing and most beautiful boats that I've encountered.

I am not one to write Google reviews, but a recent customer service interaction in which Alpacka graciously replaced my skirt prompted me to somehow give thanks to this brand. Thanks for being an inspiring, unique, and friendly company. You rock!

I'm EXTREMELY impressed. The last time I felt this way about an inflatable was when I took out a shredder built personally by Tom Love around 2008. The craftsmanship is insane. The materials seem too good to be true. The paddling balance, capability, and focus on purpose are all there. If I could buy shares in Shredders in 2008, I would have. If I could buy shares in Alpacka now, I'd go all in. Hopefully that never becomes available though because I think they're the Melanzana of Mancos. Get yours before you have to make an appointment 5 years out to even set foot in the shop.

I am very impressed with the customer service I have received from Katie over the last few weeks. I have been trying to decide on a packraft for quite some time and she helped me decide on ordering one of their Ranger models which will be perfect for my hunting and fishing adventures in Montana. I research everything and ask a lot of questions before I make purchases and Katie quickly responded to all of my emails with detailed responses and recommendations that I truly appreciated. Overall, I cant wait to receive my raft and I'll be sure to recommend Alpacka Rafts to all my friends and family because of this service along with the quality of their rafts.

My wife and I recently purchased an Alpacka 42 Explorer, and we wanted to give folks our experiences as new packrafters. First of all, we rate Alpacka Rafts as two thumbs way-up! We were a little timid about the wait time, as our raft was built to order, but their advertised lead time was exactly right, and it turned out to be no big deal. The raft and accessories arrived safe and sound, and ready to use!
My wife and I have experience with outfitters' grade rafts and kayaks, so we were wondering how this ultralight option would fit us. It turned out to be just right for what we do. We fly fish in Texas Hill Country rivers and streams, and this little craft allows us to get where we want to go with a minimum of hassle. Yes, it's very light, and you don't want to abuse it, but it's easy to inflate and is stable for the two of us. I'm a big guy--6'1", 235 lbs., and my wife is petite. It holds both of us just fine in calm water. I paddle in the stern, and she sits across the bow. The Explorer 42 is really not meant for two adults to paddle. I think it's too short for that, and you'd be clanking paddles a lot. But, for one paddler and one person sort of draped across the front, it's perfect!
It's a slower craft, not meant for long-distance paddling across vast stretches, but it really excels for shorter trips in calmer water for fishing expeditions and exploring . . . it's hard to beat! I also think that the craft is tougher than first impressions. Yes, you could punch a hole in it, but under most circumstances, it a good balance between weight and toughness.
You can carry it under one arm, flip it with one hand on the land to drain it, and wipe it down in about 2 minutes. What's not to like? A lot of thought went into the engineering of this packraft. Thanks, Alpacka!
