John did a fantastic landscaping job on an a very awkward area on my property. He is very professional, knowledgeable and really worked with me to find a reasonable resolution. It looks great! I would absolutely recommend him for any landscaping needs and I plan to do some more landscaping with him in the near future.

In April of 2021 l was approached by John Spagnuolo, owner of Alpine Deere, to supply Norway Spruce trees for installation by him and his company in Mendham NJ.. At the time I owned Elizabeth Farms in Lititz Pa.. I agreed to provide to Alpine Deere 28 trees valued at $8000. Mr. Spagnuolo arranged to have a trailer come to our farm where it was loaded by us. An invoice was provided to the driver. Mr. Spagnuolo prepaid the invoice using an American Express card. After the trees arrived at the homeowners house Spagnuolo called to report that the burlap and wire basket root balls were not tied properly. As Spagnuolo was very upset I agreed to drive 2 1/2 hours with a crew of six workers to see if there was a problem that was of our doing. Upon arriving at the homeowners address our crew inspected the trees and found that the trees were properly tied. Spagnuolo, who was on site with his equipment was again in a high state of agitation. After showing him that the trees were properly tied he agreed. He stated that he felt three of the trees were smaller than he ordered. In an attempt to satisfy the customer I agreed to not charge him for the three he felt were undersized. A few days later we were informed by our point of sales vendor that the customer was disputing the sale as fraudulent.

I am presently suing Alpine Deere and Mr Spagnuolo in New Jersey in an attempt to make Alpine Deere pay the amount due plus attorneys fees and Court costs.

I would highly recommend you do not use this company to cut your lawn. Not sure of any other services but do not use for lawn services. Last summer during a drought they still cut the grass too short and the grass got brown even though I ran the sprinklers. I asked them to raise the blades as I guess they did not realize that is what you do during times of little/no rain. This spring they kept the blades up so within a few days the grass was like a field. I asked them to lower the blades. When I saw the workers at the house I tried to talk to them and he complained that the grass was too thick and he would have to dump more grass clippings - at least that is what I took from him as his English is not great. I told him to do the best he could and I would pay extra if I had to as once he did it the first time it would be good going forward. It was better but still too thick. Over the weekend I took my 24 inch Honda push mower and mowed over an acre of lawn - took over 2 hours and dumped a ton of grass but it was perfect. Come Wednesday the guys come again. I could have told them not to come but figured they would just cut it the way they normally do. When I got home from work, the grass was scalped to the ground with brown spots all over. The front was worse then the back as they have 2 guys cutting. It was like a putting green in the front except for the green part. You could see change from the front to the back as the blades were at least an inch lower in the front. I called the owner and left a message. The owner called me back and basically told me that he would not cut my lawn anymore - that I was a pain in the ass. He actually used those words - I guess all because I wanted my lawn to look good like my neighbors. The fact that I was paying him did not matter - he would do the job he felt needed to be done - the customer's opinion does not matter to this guy. I started using them because that is who the previous owner used. BTW - several neighbors had also used Alpine Deere Landscaping in the past but not anymore - wonder why?

Do not recommend. Countinued to cut our grass during the drought leaving burn out marks and exposed dirt from the mower. Weed wacked a new lamppost.
