Love the Canyon, TX library. Lots to do and see each month. They had free garden seeds for planting and specialized cake pans for baking. Hoping they add a tool borrowing program someday.

My boys and I love being at the canyon area library! The kid department is so fun. They've got big comfy chairs for reading books, computers to play on, and so many fun toys and of course great books! It is isolated and contained enough that kids can be kids and you don't feel like you need to keep them shushed too much. But you can also see it from from several places in the library and keep an eye on your little ones. Everyone is always so nice too! We love being here.

An excellent library - the building is well maintained - and very modern interior design.
The grounds are well kept.
The Friends of the Library store is a gem of a find - with many treasures there.
The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly.

Very easy to access and sign up for library . Update, have to say that the older employees are pretty unfriendly and the younger ones very much more friendly. The moral of the story if you want to work in front end customer service and with kids one should be outgoing and not indifferent.

Great little library. Very quiet and clean. I went to get a library card so I could get one book in particular. Of course , since Canyon is such a small town, the didn't have it. But still a pretty well stocked library. I look forward to quickly reading through their inventory.

We visited with the family and could not have been more impressed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There were activities for my younger kids and teens. My wife and I found the atmosphere to be very relaxing and we enjoyed some quiet time talking. I highly encourage others to enjoy this hidden gem!

I attended a parent meeting for dyslexic children of CISD at this location and I find it highly unprofessional and off putting that seemingly members of library staff input their names in a prize raffle for the dyslexic children with the grand prize going to one of them. It shows lack of integrity and poor character and is a reflection of this library and it’s morals. His response to winning the huge WTAMU basket containing a backpack, school pride shirts, sports gear, etc. was, “I needed this!”. I’m not sure why a grown man needs school supplies meant for dyslexic kids. I just can’t get it off my mind that this grown man stole that opportunity from a child.

Some author's time, knowledge, skill, or experience goes into every book. Go find a book that you would enjoy. It is a free service from your community. Perhaps knowledge grained from those books will lead your life in a new direction.
