This little Squirrel of a guy gave me a bid of 6 grand to build a 47" fence and I was to supply the material...6 grand!
I told him..."Look buddy, I'm going into the house to get a drink of water, if you know what's good for you you'll leave Lickity Split! I built the fence myself and I didn't charge my neighbor anything other than half the cost of the materials.

Went in here on a Saturday to purchase grass seed. While waiting for customer service the staff members cat leaped from behind the counter and attacked my leashed dog. She grabbed the cat and placed it in another part of the store only for me to hear from other staff members “the cat attacked another dog? That cat is always attacking dogs.” Why a place of business would allow this to repeatedly occur, is beyond me.

Upon my purchase I was directed to take my vehicle to the back of the store to pick up the material. While I was back there I was not greeted, but questioned by the lot attendant who couldn’t be bothered to get up to assist me, as to why I was there and that I shouldn’t be. Again, why the staff is not communicating with one another that a customer has made a purchase and will be there momentarily to pick up their purchase is mind boggling.

I then waited well over 10 minutes facing hostile customer service while they tracked down the material they knew I had purchased and was expecting to pick up.

Will not be a repeat customer, would not recommend this place of business to others, instead will tell people to shop elsewhere!

I’ve been trying to reach Central Valley Building Supply by phone for the past three days with no success. They never answer their phone, forcing me to drive there to ask in person. Once I arrived, I was told they didn’t have what I was looking for, which could have been easily communicated over the phone. Very frustrating experience. It seems they have no interest in customer service or making things easier for their clients.

Quality products and great service. I was accidentally shorted 2 expensive pieces of lumber, they replaced with few questions. Nice to have that kind of trust. I will only buy from them now.

I've been to both stores and where should I begin. Staff makes you feel like the customer is the biggest inconvenience! Most yard staff have the worst attitude. I'm a plumber and their stock and knowledge of the simplest items is rather low! Try to get a length of ABS pipe that's straight and not bowed, not going to happen. Hate it when clients insist I purchase materials from CVH!

They had a product hanging on the wrong hook. When I told them it the tag said 41 and they charged me 61 they said they’d get me the lower price. So I don’t waited 5 minutes to get a price override by the manager and when she got there she wouldn’t sell it at the lower price. Very rude. Told

We have bought a lot of tools from these guys and always had great service. A few years ago they didn't have much of a selection of Festools but this year they stepped up their inventory and we are purchasing all of our festools from Central Valley Builders.
