We had a wonderful experience visiting this winery last weekend. The owner/winemaker talked us through an informative and engaging pairing of their wines with a cheese board we had pre-ordered. They were even able to accommodate our requirement for gluten free cheese board. Amazing Cabernet Franc! We would have bought more if we didn’t have to fly it home!

This was the best winery I have visited yet…in my life…and I am 35 years old! Everything about this visit made it extraordinarily special. We were greeted by the sweetest dog named Finn, and then proceeded to meet the sweetest owners of the nicest winery. Not only did we get to enjoy a tasting of the wonderful wines, but we got a wonderful lesson in wine from one of the owners - Jim. Jim was so personable (as was everyone else there) and gave us an extremely informative (yet relaxing) lesson on wine as we proceeded with our tasting. By the end of the visit to this place, we were leaving with multiple bottles of wine and multiple happy memories. Thank you so much Jim and Kathy and Finn and company! We loved every minute of this visit and cannot wait to come back soon!

I stopped by here with my wife and sister in law. It was the first time we had ever visited a winery. We had a wonderful visit! Jim the owner sat down with us and created a custom tasting based on our preferences. He was delightful and engaging and taught us a lot about winemaking. His knowledge of the Niagara climate and soils and how they contributed to the quality of the wines was outstanding. Even better was the quality of the wines themselves. We really enjoyed the Cabernet Franc and the Saperavi.

I highly recommend this winery, it’s well worth the trip. Thank you again Jim!

Chateau Niagara should be a required stop on the Niagara Wine Trail! Really good wines, thoughtfully made. European wine lovers will find these familiar.

Added bonus - the owners & their dog. Jim, is the owner and winemaker and is very knowledgeable and especially passionate about his wine program. He and his wife were kept busy running tastings at multiple tables yet still taking time to sit and discuss the grapes,terroir, winemaking and the results.

Reasonable prices for tasting and bottles plus a great cheese plate.

Despite the grand name, the tasting room and production area share space inside a modern metal pole barn.

A lovely winery with an amazing selection of unique wines and such knowledgeable owners who will teach you all the fun facts! You’ll get wines here at quality that surpasses France and made with homegrown grape variants that you would otherwise only find in Hungary

Had a wonderful experience at Chateau Niagara this afternoon. Jim is extremely knowledgeable and engaging and so passionate about the work he and Kathy do! We tasted all the available wines .. just sorry we can’t take all of them home across the border! One of our best winery experience ever! Finn was an added bonus … what a sweetheart and so welcoming too!
