I recently had a conversation with Matt, a sales representative from UGCFactory.io, and it turned out to be quite an odd experience.

Firstly, their Instagram claims they've created over 12,000 UGC ads in 2023, but their first post only appeared in late August this year.

Secondly, their website mentions a monthly retainer model, but during the call, they mentioned a non-contractual but mandatory three-month commitment. When I inquired about discontinuing after a month, the response was blunt: "Your business would fail then." A bit extreme, considering my company doesn't hinge on a single introductory call with them.

Thirdly, they display various well-known brand logos on their site, suggesting past collaborations. However, when I checked with some founders of these brands, they hadn't heard of UGC Factory. Fourthly, they're charging about $210 per video, which totals $5,000 a month for 24 videos. This pricing is steep compared to their competitors, despite what their website's comparison chart might suggest.

Additionally, the sales rep, Matt, insinuated that I wasn't investing enough in ads, despite admitting he's never run paid ads himself. He frequently referenced the founder, Dan Ragan, boasting about his "15 years" in marketing, yet Dan's Instagram profile is unimpressive and has fewer than 6,000 followers.

The whole conversation left me with a scammy impression. I'd advise caution if considering doing business with them. What really irked me, prompting me to write this review, was Matt's assertion that my business would fail without their extended services. It's ironic, considering I'm a business owner who bootstraps his ventures, while he's an employe.
