My husband and I purchased a log cabin in Sister Bay that we eventually decided to do short term rentals on when it is not in use by our family. We fell in love with the cabin after seeing it the first time. Thinking that since the cabin is perfect to us in person, our rental posting would sell itself with the photos I take with my iphone. After posting our listing for rental we did receive some inquiries to book periodically, but i felt there should be more (once again, our home is gorgeous, why do people not see that?!) Reluctantly, I contacted Dan for pricing on photos, thinking it can't hurt if the price is right. Boy, am I glad I did! Dan did a wonderful job, taking advantage of the light and showcasing our cabin so it reflects what we see in person vs. our subpar iphone photos.

Almost immediately after I posted the Dan's photos to the rental site, I started getting booking requests from folks raving about how beautiful our home looks. More than once the words "I'm in love with your home" were mentioned when they request to book.

I did not have anyone to give me tips for listing a rental when we made the decision to do it. But that is my tip for folks new to renting property. Pay a professional to take your photos!! And if that professional is Dan, you won't be disappointed! We plan to do some redecorating with our home. And once that is complete, I won't hesitate to call Dan to come in again.
