We had three Families First workers during our almost 3 year experience with them. Only the 2nd worker truly cared about working towards reunifying our family. The other two would simply do whatever DHS wanted and DHS never worked towards reunification. The 1st and 3rd workers both were very rude and condescending towards us. I think that the legislators should take a close look before they renew any contracts with Families First.

I've been able to have a few different workers that have really touched my heart and made huge impact in my life..... Wish I could get another worker that I feel comfortable with and felt like wanted to work with me and my case.... I currently am working with Katrina Miller and personally I feel she is and has been unprofessional towards me a few times... Which has made my case a bit difficult to work on with her. Assumptions are made and when trying to talk and have a conversation, I get told I am arguing and I'm being manipulative and I get shut down with an attitude. I dont think any person appreciates being told how they are a liar, manipulator and selfish... I think that this program should be hiring people who are genuinely wanting to help families and have enough about themselves to keep personal comments to themselves... I personally feel it is unprofessional how your workers can speak to clients

Family first is a jock! My boyfriend is dealing with them he’s got a kid from previous marriage, they are trying to bring him closer to his Dad and keep him safe from his dad.. his Mother and him destroyed my boyfriend’s life and they are trying to destroy our kids life.. Family first is bringing sick child in my house around my tow kids, I have a newborn and 11 months old if they are trying to keep kids safe keep the sick kid away or maybe say that kid is sick before you bring them in.. me as a mom I will always protect my kids from everyone. Don’t ack like you care. If you don’t care about my kid’s safety why should I care about the child that you are bringing to my house. Family first should treat all kids same and safe not just some kids if you don’t like me that’s your problem don’t try to get my kids sick. I’m most honest person that you will ever meet. I will tell you exactly how it is, I don’t care if you think that I’m rude. All I’m trying to do is protect my child.

An employee came toy home with a DHS worker to confront me about things I've never said and that they didn't have proof of. Yet alone, when I've asked about the timeframe of the weekly and monthly visit to our home, they were rude and didn't help at all. They threatened me with being brought to court instead of answering my questions. My family isn't under investigation but yet they've treated me like a criminal. IveI never been rude to them. We all have cooperated promptly with them. I didn't know it was wrong to exercise my rights in asking questions about concerns.
