I do most my shopping here, being Tillamook only offers 3 department stores as options to purchase anything from groceries to clothes or house hold products, Fred Meyer tends to offer a bit wider selection than Safeway and grocery outlet, its competitors out on the coast but however prices can be on the higher side then I’d like to pay or can afford at times. The employees range from helpful to judgemental and rude differs from day to day and depending on case scenario, most tourists probably won’t have many compliments tho..

On 1/20/25 my receipt shows I checked out at 10:04 a.m. with Barbara. I don't understand why there are tags in the isles under items at a discount, such as spaghetti sauce, buy 5 or more at $1.99 each and when I got home an hour away, I see that I paid full price for that and other items that had red tags that said, buy 5 or more and pay $ discounted price, yet I paid full price for? Why?

Also Barbara's attitude sucked, she didn't greet me, I aparrently was a bother. I had no idea that my checker would not bag anything, when I asked if my items could be bagged, she pointed and said, "the bags are over there",so I scrambled to try to catch up with her. After my 3rd bag, I realized I couldn't catch up, so I started just setting everything back in the cart to deal with when I got to my car. That didn't happen in Newburg, the cashier bagged and was pleasant.

I don't shop at Walmart because they don't have cashiers. What reason should I drive an hour out of my way to not get the posted prices in the
isles, rude service and expected to bag my own groceries?

Not the same Fred Meyers I worked for years ago who put customers first.

Our Fred Meyer always seems to have exactly what I'm looking for, and if not they always have someone that can help me find a similar product. My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I don't understand why this Fred Meyers is like the only Fred Meyers in Oregon that closes at 10pm, All others close at 11pm.

The fuel station employee Dave is very unhelpful. With three employees standing around doing nothing , he refused to help an elderly lady saying that it’s self service only. I helped her because of how horrible the situation was. There was a time when Fred Meyer was about helping customers. Apparently not at the Tillamook fuel station.
To add insult to injury, he was rude because I went all the way to the other side to help her.

They are one of the only places in town to get all the groceries you need, usually have pretty good deals, and the staff are very friendly

This is your average Fred Myers store. That is excellent selections and friendly helpful service. Good selection of produce.

Kat checked us out. She greeted us with a warm friendly smile and quickly got us through checkout.
