I've lived in this magical jungle for the last 6 months and Hedonisia is a much needed oasis in which to meet the most amazing, kindhearted people. If your looking for pristine sheets and bellhop service this won't be the place for you. This is the place to go if you wish to be lulled to sleep by the sound of 100 croaking frogs. This is the place to go if you have the time to look up and breathe in the majestic nighttime sky. The conversations, the jam sessions, the many many musing in the smoking temple have made the moments I've had here the more special. I highly recommend checking out and experiencing Hedonisia because when your here whether its for a few days, a month or even a year your life will be changed and effected by the amazing people and experiences you have here.

OMG we freaking loved this place! We rented the Bamboo Bungalow for one night. We got in late but they still accommodated us; in fact we called a couple hours before we wanted to stay and were in luck. The property is gorgeous. Holy smokes, it's gorgeous.

Some things to note, if you're a first timer or new to the hostel stay life:
1. You're in a rainforest, your bedding WILL be wet more than likely
2. This is a not a Ritz-Carlton ... the amenities aren't luxurious, but they do the job
3. This is an ECO-FRIENDLY place ... meaning they push using a hose to wipe instead of toilet paper.

If you live simply, don't have high expectations, are up for an adventure, want a new experience, want to stay amongst the rainforest, love meeting new and interesting people then this is the place for you! Such awesome people amongst a beautiful place.

Mojo turned a dump into a paradise. This place had fruit falling from the trees, a crater with a winding trail and a topography that made the place seem bigger than the four acres it was situated on. Beautiful ocean vistas coupled with a very pleasant atmosphere. I really hope Mojo will be able to rebuild and recapture what it once was before the recent eruption.

My husband and I just got back and we really didn't want to leave! Everyone was so inviting and we were all a big family by the end of our stay! We will be back soon! Its paradise! Thank you everyone!! We miss you all!!

Maybe it was the interns there at the time, but this wasn't a very fun or communal hostel. The potential of this place felt wasted or like it had been a better place to stay at one point.
