The High Frontier gave us the experience of heading out to a private ranch just outside of Fort Davis. The property is so beautiful and gave us the opportunity to hike around the rocks just outside the door of our own bunkhouse. The cabin was situated with a great kitchen and two comfortable rooms. The finishes and art were up to par with the high end art town of Marfa down the road. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. We will be back soon.

I stayed at High Frontier in Fort Davis for a quick little getaway, and it was exactly what I needed. The setting is incredibly peaceful, with beautiful mountain views and wide-open skies that instantly slow you down. The space felt welcoming and quiet—perfect for unplugging and catching your breath.

Everyone I encountered was kind and accommodating, and there's a really unique, grounded energy to the whole property. It’s close enough to town for little adventures, but tucked away enough to truly disconnect.

If you're looking for a low-key spot to reset and enjoy the beauty of West Texas, this place is a gem. Can’t wait to come back.

Met some family from Texas for a family reunion. We stayed at the “Mary suit.” It was so modern and clean! Four bedrooms-each room had its own bathroom and an amazing central living room. It had a giant kitchen table which was great for our family meals. This place is perfect for bigger family get togethers!

This resort is very nice. The rooms are very comfortable and have great amenities. Beds are comfortable. Scenery is great in the Davis Mountains. Close to Marfa and Alpine have many activities. Also McDonald Observatory is close with great star parties. It is a dark sky area, so stars are really visible. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was my first time staying in West Texas, and High Frontier made it an unforgettable experience. The room was perfect, clean, cozy, and had that authentic desert vibe. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

What really blew me away were the early sunrises and the night sky with so many stars, it didn’t feel real. It’s a memory I’ll hang onto for a long time. Really glad I chose this place. it delivered in every way.

The High Frontier might just be the most beautiful area in Texas. Surrounded by the Davis Mountains with hundreds mile views, this is the perfect area to relax and unplug.||The rooms were very well appointed with modern furnishings, really comfortable beds and everything you could need in the kitchen.||There are multiple “modern cabins” but they’re spread far enough from each other that you’ll still feel complete privacy. I could see this as a perfect setting for groups like weddings, family reunions, retreats, etc.||My family will DEFINITELY be back and we can’t wait to tell all of our friends about it.||Thanks Maggie and High Frontier crew!

The remote-ness was exactly what I needed from the city. Not the craziness of Marfa and a place to sit and think. Having AESOP is a definite plus especially on a resort ranch, They could up the game in the snack bar or provide a few offerings just in case but otherwise not bad.

Hi Frontier is a perfect place to stay if wanting to check out the scenery and historical places. The view here is so beautiful with the mountains around. I found it very relaxing and everyone very friendly.
