Love this place! We’ll definitely stop by more often. A burger next door followed by a whiskey cocktail or flight is perfect after a hike. Prices are steep but you get what you pay for. The owner is very nice and friendly and enjoyed chatting with him about hikes and photography.

Amazing whiskey tasting. They have 3 level of whiskey tasting. I got the middle one, and all of them have very unique flavor. Friendly owner. Amazing whiskey. #9 with Aspen wood is sweet, #5 is smooth, #6 and #7 are "the same" but one is smoky and then other is not. I personally like #5 but #9 is definitely very unique and special. Definitely a great experience and definitely will return.

Came across this place without looking for it. The atmosphere is so relaxing. The owners are amazing people and so very accommodating. The whiskey selection is distilled by them and is very good. I come in for an Old Fashion every time I'm in Estes Park. You have to stop in and grab a bottle of whiskey and grab a drink when you are here. Love it here and will always stop here every weekend.

Delightful visit! Excellent whisky! Graeme is an excellent host, approachable, friendly, and informative. After tasting his whiskys and hearing his approach to his craft, he is a brilliant distiller. The free tastings were generous. We stayed for a great cocktail. Bought a few bottles. Our son in law, a scotch lover, really enjoyed the peat smoked 100% malt whisky. We'll be back the next time we drive up from Fort Collins.

So happy to have Hogback in town. We went yesterday and sampled most of their line. We bought two bottles: Oak & Aspen Bourbon Cask Strength and Peat Smoked 100% Malt Whisky. Went back today and had two old fashioned, one each of the bottles we bought. We spoke with Katherine yesterday and Graham today. Both were super knowledgeable and friendly, rightfully proud of their product. It’s fantastic to have this high-caliber distillery (tasting room) in Estes. This is now on my list of places to recommend to all visitors.

I can’t speak highly enough about having a real distillery making great whiskey come to Estes. They don’t make flavored cheap stuff for tourists, this is for those with a real passion for whiskies - ranging from bourbons to Scottish. The owner is incredibly kind and willing to spend time talking about his craft. I also love that it is off the main drag but still close by. Definitely stop here on your way through Estes!

Fantastic whiskey! We had the espresso old fashioned and a traditional old fashioned and both were phenomenal. The owner was so kind and patient with us while we tried to decide what to order. Lots of seating and incredible original artwork inside. Highly recommend!
