We booked a 3hr charter as an excursion while in Icy Strait Point for myself and my two kids age 15 and 17. Our boat had a total of 6 people and there was plenty of room on the back of the boat for us all to fish. The captain and his mate (a golden retriever named Cyrus) were great. The captain in conjunction with their two other boats in the area did a great job keeping us on the fish. We had a blast and caught 15 halibut between the 3 of us and 31 total on the boat, the biggest being a 32” 15-16lb halibut that we sent home for a few nice dinners. The trip was great and would highly recommend these guys if you are in the area. Just be aware, the fish shipping company (an outside company) is quite expensive to ship fish back home, but they were extremely convenient to use and did provide great customer service.

Captain Herm was very accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. He gave us lessons on how to catch Halibut, and we were successful. After fishing he even took us whale watching and showed us some wildlife. We had amazing time!

Our guide Josh was great, other than giving me crap about being a Seahawks fan. How a 49-er got lost in Alaska is beyond me! We saw Bears, Whales, Seals, Eagles, and an assortment of fish including a cod, a blue eye (what?) some worms from the bottom, and lots of “chicken” halibut as you can see. I was a bit put off when I saw the price for a “half day” trip and Almost didn’t book. I’m sure glad I didn’t let my inner cheapskate run me that day. We had a great time, caught as many halibut as we wanted, and saw everything mentioned in their online content. Amazing, and I’ve done plenty of charter fishing in the past to compare this to. We were paired with another couple from our cruise ship, who were just awesome to hang out with too. Such a great day, with us always having control. “Do you want to look for bears or whales or fish?” Turns out that we got all we wanted in our “half day” trip. Thanks Josh and Herm and Hooked, and for the love of all that is sacred, GO HAWKS!

Amazing adventure with Jared as our captain and guide. Saw a bear, seal lions, a sea otter, and some humpback whales, and still had plenty of time for fishing. Jared put us on a great spot. Thank you!

Herm with Hooked Adventures was amazing. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about fishing for Halibut. He took four of us out and we all caught our limit. All four of us agreed that it was the greatest fishing trip that we had ever been on and one of the greatest experiences that we had ever had. Thanks Herm.

We booked a fishing excursion with Hooked Adventures during our Alaskan cruise that ported at Ice Strait. Herm was great to work with to get our adventure scheduled and Captain Josh was amazing!! Captain Josh helped us catch halibut and silver salmon and took us to see bears, sea lions and whales. It was an amazing trip, beautiful scenery and lots of memories to last a lifetime! We loved the private tour and would highly recommend Hooked Adventures.

We went with our family of 5 (4, 6 & 9 year old) and Herm was the perfect captain! Caught 32 halibut on our half day trip and Herm was super accommodating for kids, they had an absolute blast learning how to hook them and reel them in. Boat was great w the indoor cabin to protect against weather, and Brizo the first mate (dog) was a favorite of our kids. Herm even put on Taylor swift for our daughter ?. He also took us around to see some whales and look for bear. Highly recommend for all families and especially for adults looking to get a workout reeling in one after another after another!

I recently went on an unforgettable halibut fishing trip with hooked adventures. Not only did we catch an impressive haul of halibut, but the wildlife sightings were extraordinary. Throughout the trip, we were thrilled to see whales breaching, eagles soaring, seals, otters, and even a pod of porpoises swimming by. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to spot bears along the shore. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring we had a fantastic and safe adventure. I can't recommend this trip highly enough for anyone looking to combine excellent fishing with incredible wildlife viewing.
