Fantastic experience with Icy Strait Excursions. We booked last minute as a few friends were taking the tour. We emailed and within a few minutes they confirmed we would be together. This was great service. We saw over 25 humpback whales and the captain was extremely knowledgeable. I'd book with them over the cruise any day. Our excursions booked through the cruise ship was awful.

This is our second time with Hoonah Adventures whale watching tour. And our second time with captain Denise. We were blessed with viewing so many humpbacks and orcas, as well as seals, otters, and eagles. Denise shares stories from her ancestors as she navigates the waters to find the best spots for sighting whales. She even shares photos from the excursion with anyone who requests them. She’s a gem.

This was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever experienced. They found a pod of 11 orcas and we had them to ourselves for around 20 minutes. We also saw a bear on the beach and some humpback whales.
Highly recommend this excursion!! You won’t be disappointed.

Easy instructions on where to find the tour starting point. We were on a beautiful boat for our whale watching tour with an exception, friendly, knowledgeable crew. They found us lots of whales to see and told us lots about the local area. Would highly recommend them

This was one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on! Our captain Billy was knowledgeable and very interesting. He was persistent in making sure that we were able to see whales,
Otters, sea lions, bald eagles & even a bear!
He provided binoculars if we wanted them. He also provided a level of safety that made us feel comfortable. It was a small tour with only 5 of us, so it felt very personal. I would highly recommend!!

We had THE most amazing experience on the Whale Watching Excursion! The boat captain and his assistant were very informative and helpful in teaching us about the whales and the area we were in. We also saw so many whales! Totally exceeded our expectations!!

Amazing experience!! We went on the whale watching trip that went into glacier bay, and it was incredible. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable and most importantly, we saw so much wildlife! More whales than I've ever seen along with sea lions, eagles, an otter... we even got to see a lot of breaching. Of course guides can't control the nature that's there, but he did everything he could to go where the action was and was very respectful of the animals.
