Moments of brilliance. Underwhelming finish. And they did not do what they said they would do.

After three months and attempts to share my concerns, here I am.

Invested a small fortune with these people and while I experienced moments of pure brilliance and care, I also sensed that the care I expected was simply not there - particularly in the final month. To be clear, I met a number of people who were PASSIONATE about their craft and it showed.

As my contract was being wrapped up, three blog posts were published within minutes of the others. Instead of putting the blogs in draft form and instructing me to publish later they all went out at the same time. Meaning… My readers received three separate emails within minutes sharing that a new blog post was published. When I approached my point of contact she explained the technical aspects of how published blogs generate an email. This is an easy HubSpot - publish later fix.

Early in my engagement, I flew to Denver to shoot video for my updated website. I was quoted the kind of money suggesting it was going to be done well. It was absolutely not done well. The videos were shot in a hot warehouse. I was uncomfortable to say the least and when I saw the videos I was very upset. I expected so much more for $20k. They acknowledged their short comings and to placate me I was offered to have a team member fly to my office to shoot some testimonials. That never happened.

To be fair. I did extend my contract by three months to complete a project I wanted completed. So I was satisfied to a point but during the last three months I felt like very much like a dollar sign more than a valued Customer. When paying the kind of money I paid, I expected profoundly more care than that.

Meghan did a fantastic job training me on the platform, and Kelley and Stephanie impressively took our incredibly old customer database and made sure all of our historical contact records transferred over and were properly organized. Well I don't leave reviews very often if ever, but I am inspired to leave a review for Revenue River. I called them because I had a formatting issue with my blog page, and spoke to the owner Eric. He was super receptive to my small needs, and immediately put me in contact with a programmer on his team, named Nicole. She called me within a couple of hours, and was sweet and lovely on the phone. She asked a few questions, and unlike many of the techy programmers out there, she didn't make me feel like an idiot LOL. When I came in the next morning, my blog format was all fixed which made me very very happy!
It's rare to find digital marketing agencies that still believe in relationships and kindness, but RevenueRiver is hands down one of the good guys out there, and I'd recommend anyone in need of digital marketing and/or website development, to give these guys a shot. They will be pleasant and fair. If you're anything like me, you might even have a renewed sense of faith with the marketing industry after working with their team.
