We came to Lost Paddle and didn't realize we signed up for a "float". We thought it was the only one we could do because we had a 6 year old in our party

Kelly, the owner, explained that we could definitely do the the Big Horn Sheep rafting day trip and was quickly able to accommodate and upgrade our excursion.

Our party of five consisting 3 adults and 2 kids (ages 11 and 6) had a great time with our guide Zeb. While changing the excursion, the owner Kelly asked if we were strong swimmers, and we said we were not. Even with the PFD (personal floatation devices) Kelly accompanied us in an inflatable kayak to ensure we were all safe and to be there as a backup in case anyone fell out the raft (no one did) but it was just such a comfort to know she was willing to go above and beyond.

Zeb did a great job with the paddle stroke instructions and preparing us for the class III rapids. We especially enjoyed the portion of our tour where we got to stop and jump into the water and swim to a rock in the middle and take a group photo.

This was my 5th time going white water rafting with my son and our friend's second time going. It was his wife and son's first time going. It was such a great experience! We highly recommend Lost Paddle to both first timers or repeat adventures.

We appreciated the photos taken of us and the action shots as well! We will definitely come back again next year and make it a yearly tradition. We will continue to invite family and friends to come with us.

We had an absolutely amazing trip through the rapids. Chris was THE BEST guide we’ve ever had. Everyone at Lost Paddle was super nice. A small outfit and AMAZING. Don’t pass up the opportunity to tour with them.

We did the two day rafting and man was it awesome! Our guide was Hunter and he did an exceptional job! Camping was great as well. Highly recommend The Lost Paddle rafting!

The absolute best 1st timer whitewater rafting trip!

After intensive searching I found Lost Paddle Rafting through a Facebook ad. (Lost Paddle your ads worked). There are other larger companies that will charge ALMOST DOUBLE. Maybe it’s because they provide lunch? Idk I’m cheap and have 4 kids so we can brown bag it baby!

Cost: We paid $627.39 for 5 people, 5 wetsuits, and pre purchased the photos. This is an absolute steal! (Receipt attached so you can see the breakdown)

Reservations: We reserved online the night before because we like to live on the wild side.

Location: The trip Bighorn Sheep trip starts AND ENDS in Cañon City. If you have a member of your party who’s not interested, or too young, you can have them drive separately or wait easily before you head over to the Royal Gorge which is what we did.

Arrival: We arrived around 8:45 for our 9:30 am half day trip. We parked in a random grocery store parking lot and were greeted by a sweet lady who sells fresh cider in her store. Wish I had bought some!

Ages & Level of Difficulty: We brought our almost 7 year old, 11, and 14 year old. We left the 5 year old at home. Our 6 year old has always been adventurous so we felt she would love it. We were right! Difficulty is minimal. Great for first time paddling.

Guide: Our guide was Taylor and he was wonderful. He was clear on instructions and made us feel completely comfortable about the entire trip. He is extremely knowledgeable and has been leading tours for over 3 years. Taylor we left $$ for you at the store. TIP YO GUIDE PEOPLE.

Overall: The cost is so worth it when it comes to the experience. Buy the darn photos in advance. They are worth it! It was our 14 year olds favorite part of the trip and a highlight of everyone else’s. It’s a great beginner trip or way to become accustomed to rafting. Every single kid wanted to extend the half day to a full day. (Sorry guys we po. lol)

Lost paddle rafting was an amazing company for our first experience. All the staff was very friendly and funny. Made the experience so amazing. Unlike other companies we saw floating down the river, lost paddle allowed us to dip in the river in the most memorable way. Our instructor guided us in jumping into the river. Jumped off two rocks! Not high ones and it was so amazing!!! Other rafts allowed guest to jump off the raft then back on, boring! Our instructor Taylor kept us very safe and educated us about all the rapids and sights along the ride. We did the “Big Horn” rafting package for our family which was a great beginner experience with some awesome thrills. We would love to come back and do another river float with them!

We had the best time with our guide Frank today on the Arkansas River! Our group of six had a blast getting splashed and listening to the lots of facts and information Frank had to share about the river, colorado, and himself! Had a great time with family. Lost paddle is a small org in canon city compared to other companies but that works in their favour. Our guide jeb was great to hang out with and he did a few cool tricks on the river. Highly recommend!

We had a group of 10 go out on 2 rafts. Steven and Johnny were amazing! Our group had such a fun time on our very first raft! Office staff was great, too! Thank you Lost Paddle for an amazing experience!
