We absolutely loved our third visit to Marvyn’s Magic Theater! Every show is a perfect blend of comedy and mind-blowing magic—so fun, unique, and always entertaining. It’s refreshing to laugh and be amazed at the same time. A fantastic experience for all ages, from 21 to 91! If you haven’t been yet, just go!

I took my partner to Marvin’s for his birthday and we loved it. The featured magician was Jon Armstrong out of LA and he was absolutely amazing. His show was funny and entertaining beyond belief. My partner also left his phone there by mistake and the owner called us the same night and drove back to the theater to meet us there and return his phone. Just an incredibly nice thing to do. We will definitely be returning.

There were 3 parts to (our) show 2/2025; a VERY good singer, also a very funny comedian/magician... as we assembled in the bar about 5:20pm.
Then we gathered in the theater & were entertained with a HILARIOUS video and comedy monalague by the host/owner.
The main act was SO good!

The drinks were strong and reasonable, the theater intimate, comfortable seats (smelled great) and help fun & friendly.

We were entertained well over 2 hours... a fantastic evening (& value). We'll be back.

It was a fun event. Fun, laughs and magi! We will gladly suggest to friends. And we will visit again. Jeff Hobson is a great host, comedian and magician. He and the other guest magicians made a dun and memorable evening.

Looking for some great entertainment? This is the desert's best kept secret for a really good night out. Take your friends and guests. We have gone multiple times at this point and I am always sore from laughing so hard and amazed by the magic. The host (Jeff) and his wife are always welcoming and friendly and you are guaranteed to have a good time. Here are some tips to make your experience better.
1. This is a 21 or over show. Nothing too inappropriate, except for a few swear words. The policy is strictly enforced.
2. Arrive for the show 45-60 minutes early and enjoy the pre show entertainment. This can be as fun as the actual show.
3. Enjoy a beverage, it will make the show better.
4. Go out to dinner or dessert after and discuss the show. You will be impressed how many jokes and tricks happened. Plus there are some great restaurants near by. (Okura, LG's, Cliffhouse, Fisherman's Grill, and Yogurt Island, just to name a few)
Bottom line: this is great experience that you can keep going back to again and again.

We had the good fortune of visiting over the holidays, and the performer was a “mentalist“ – some thing I had never seen before. In any circumstance, I might have wondered if the participating audience members were “planted” in order to make this stunning show. But I wasn’t paid or planted!

I was called up on the stage, and I won’t spill the beans here, but I was floored by the mentalist’s ability to stun both me and the other audience member who joined me. It was truly an amazing show!

In addition, the venue is beautiful. They offer pre-show entertainment with magic and music, and they offer a full bar for those who wish to partake. I will look forward to a return visit!

A gem of a venue in Coachella Valley that guarantees an unforgettable and fun evening out, perfect for locals or visitors! I highly recommend showing up early to enjoy and explore this incredible spot. The lobby, which looks like an old brick and mortar magic shop (ask about the teleporter in the corner of the room!), opens to a gorgeous, magically decorated bar with a simple, but delicious, drink menu, a few wonderful beers on tap, and a surprising selection of wines. There, you get to enjoy live piano and singing with your drinks until a magician performs a close up magic set behind the piano, which you can enjoy from a nearby seat, from across the room, or even from inside the theater, thanks to a well positioned camera and large screens playing a live stream of the set. Afterwards, the main event: You head into the intimate, yet spacious 132-seat theater, where there's truly not a bad seat in the house! An opening act kicks off the evening, usually Jeff Hobson, a Las Vegas veteran who also runs the place, before the headliner comes out and wows you with a whole hour of magic. Plus, the headliners change every week, so you can come back again and again... in fact, they even offer season tickets. They also have special events with variety entertainers and comedians. This is sure to become your new favourite venue in La Quinta!

Marvyn's Magic Theater is great fun. Good entertainment for a party or for date. Arrive one hour before the show for the entertainment and drinks in the lobby. The theater space is small and the audience is very close to the performer. I went with a friend, for our first visit to Marvyn's, and it was great fun.
