I really did enjoy the Meteor Crater. It dosent take long to visit, but found it very interesting to learn about what happened there. Do the guided tour, its included with your admission.

There's a stimulated ride also, very cute even for us adults.
If you do go I would recommend visiting The Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff as well.
Makes a nice day out.
Admission is not cheap though.

Had visited back in 1980's and loved this place, so coming back was always a plan. The meteor crater itself is still as awesome as ever, but now it's been very commercialized.
We were put off by how expensive it is just to even walk up to the crater to view it, you have to pay for all the other stuff...movie, museum, tour, etc.
If you have the time, do the tour and learn about the history. We were not able to stay to use all they offer, but the facility is very nice and a real interesting respite while travelling.

We stopped here on a whim on our way to drop our daughter off at college, and were so glad we did! It is an amazing place to stop and the photos don’t do it justice. It is absolutely immense. There are three viewing areas at different heights with telescopes to see inside the crater. We watched the educational film and visited the gift shop, but didn’t do the guided tour as we didn’t have time.
It was a little pricey coming in at $87 for the three of us to visit, though.
Food for thought- It would be nice to have different price levels based on what you’d like to do, view the crater, view the educational film, visit the museum portion, take the guided tour, etc.
Overall, it was a great visit and so incredible to see something that my husband and I had only seen previously in textbooks!

Very cool museum and attraction. It seems like not much but interesting to see and learn how they figured out that it was a meteor crater. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and a special lot for campers. Elevators to bring you up through but stairs are very low rise inside so easy enough to climb.

This is a wonder of the world! What a magnificent place. The guest center and information displays in their museum are fantastic. The gift shop is great. The crater is unbelievable! This is a must see. Added bonus, this is privately owned land and business.

The Crater is awesome and the staff is very friendly here. They have a movie, gift shop, exhibits, and a restaurant all on site. I only came here for the Crater so all the extras felt a little overdone for my taste. It's 29$ pp, which we thought was quite steep but I suppose if you go here for all the bells and whistles, it may be worth your time and money. There are a few different trails to explore that aren't too tough and you can also take guided tours. The facility has elevators and is handicap accessible. Bathrooms were clean and in good shape. Only giving it 4 stars for the inflated price but otherwise this place was good.
