Our picture perfect day began at check in with Capt Clay warmly welcoming us. He introduced us to all that were sailing with us and our Capt for the day Kyle. Quickly into our excursion we were alerted to a pod of humpbacks. Capt Kyle stayed so we all could see breaching and fin slapping. Never did we feel rushed from any wildlife sighting. He made extraordinary efforts to please all aboard. If you liked waterfalls he took us to waterfalls, if it were Puffins then he took us to Puffins. Capt Kyle made us feel special and took us around to so many places that had no one there but us. The amount of wildlife we saw checked all of my boxes. Whales, sea lions, otters, birds, glaciers. If you want an intimate, informative, and unique experience Northern Latitude excursions is a clear choice.

We took the 7.5 hour trip with Captain Abby. The whole experience was amazing! It’s one of our best tours so far. We saw seals, bald eagle, otters, puffins, orcas, porpoises and of course, the glaciers. The highlight of the trip was definitely encountering two humpback whales playing with doing pectoral slapping movements. The group size is perfect. Everyone has enough space and view on the boat. The crew did an excellent job of preparing all the essentials. They provided hot drinks, soda and snacks. When we stopped in front of the glacier and enjoyed our lunch, we were the only boat there. Very much appreciated all the thoughtfulness Captain had given to create this wonderful experience, thank you!

One of the most personal and welcoming voyages I’ve been on! Our Captain, Kyle, was a master of the seas and pulled out all the stops for our 7.5 hr trip to the glacier. What an amazing, skilled, and enjoyable captain is Captain Emily! On 26 Jul 24, my wife and myself joined my son’s family, his wife, and his 9 and 11 year old boys, for a six-hour whale, glacier and sea-life tour on the Urayuli!
I’m 65 years old, I was solo proficient offshore eastern LI since I was 13 years old, and continued my own boating off the entire east coast all my life. I’m also a retired airline captain of much the same discipline. Captain Emily is super well-suited to her job and made me super comfortable with my previous family and grandchildren.
She included the crew in her search for our sightings, went out of her way to stimulate and educate the boys, and made her mark on the whole experience as she successfully located Humpback whales, Orcas, sea lions, sea otters, jellyfish, glaciers and expanded on sea-life knowledge the whole trip. Of course, she started out the trip with a terrific safety and equipment briefing to set straight the priorities for the whole trip. She knocked it out of the park! Thank you, Captain Emily!

We had the best experience with Captain Emily on Wednesday! We had an incredible 6 hour cruise to the glaciers and some amazing wildlife viewing. She was the host with the most and was wonderful with our two young kids. Thanks so much!

A must do in Alaska! Small company doing private tours for small groups and 100% better than the big commercial operations out here. The Captain Kyle was very knowledgeable and helpful answering all questions and supplying a wealth of knowledge the entire trip. The 7.5hr package comes with food and drink and is the one to do for best value imo.

What a magnificent day on the water with Captain Emily! The fog lifted and we were gifted the opportunity to see spectacular wildlife and beautiful views of the surrounding area. Captain Emily is extremely knowledgeable about each island, cove, and all wildlife we saw on our adventure cruise. The boat was comfortable and cozy even in a bit of drizzle. Would book with Northern Latitude 100 percent every time! What a special day for Orca!

It was an absolute joy getting to learn about Seward from the water! If you are ever in Seward don’t hesitate on going on a boat tour with these folks! I hope to one day return to Seward and get to do it all over again. Shoutout to our Captain Abby for taking us all the way out to Aialik Glacier and for showing us all the cool spots as we made our way island to island until finally getting to Aialik Glacier. Along the way we saw a lot of Mountain Goats, Eagles, Sea Lions, Otters, Dolphins, and finally Humpback Whales! It was an absolute breathtaking experience and I without a doubt recommend to do it 100%! We started out hugging the right side of Resurrection Bay thru the Aialik Peninsula into Aialik Bay and then on our way back we went we out a little into the Gulf and then hugged the right side of the islands thru Humpy and Thumb Cove, 10/10 recommend.
