Lovely Tempranillo wines. Their sangria would be a godsend on a sunny Texas day. Charcuterie board with pimento cheese, fruit, and fudgy brownies also recommended!

Such a neat little spot on Main Street! The owners are so nice and informative. We all had the Sangria and it was by far the best I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend this place to anyone in town.

Amazing staff, great wine, and great snacks. The staff made us feel like locals and I could buy all the wines. In fact we bought 3 at the 290 location the next day. The vibe is very Bavarian wine garden and amazing. Will definitely come back.

Wow! By far one of the best wineries we have been to in Fredricksburg. Carl, the owner, was so welcoming. He stopped by our table and took a seat and explained our wine flight that we ordered and the origin of Pontotoc vineyard. We enjoyed every wine we tried so much so that we decided to go back again on night two to hang out and purchase a bottle or two. I was a bit skeptical because the vineyard was on Main, but please stop in! The wines are incredible and it’s such a great atmosphere.

Oh. My!!! What a wonderful, cozy, nostalgic winery with so many wonderful surprises! Their wine, that sangria (!!) and their amazing homemade pimento cheese!!! Our group of four ordered the wine tasting, their yummy sangria, and a board of treats that was generous, delicious and featured a homemade brownie sprinkled with sea salt, the best I've ever tasted pimento cheese spread, and a nice warm loaf of sourdough bread! Each of those were standouts in their own right; however the lovely, friendly host/owner truly made the whole experience memorable for our group. We will be back!!

PS ... We also took home a jar of that delicious pimento cheese spread and an individually wrapped brownie!!

It’s so hard to make a choice when you have a number of wineries to choose from. We looked up this one and liked the ambience and thought of giving it a try. Didn’t disappoint at all. We ordered a flight and sangria and loved every bit of it. The snack platter called a picnic basket was amazing too. Loved candied pecans (out of this world), pimento cheese dip, brownies, fruits and sourdough bread. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic experience at Pontotoc Vineyard and Weingarten in Fredericksburg this weekend! From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel right at home, sharing the background of this unique spot. The weigngarten is set in Fredericksburg’s oldest building, complete with a cozy cellar dining room, plenty of outdoor seating, fire pits, and indoor bar.

We highly recommend the picnic basket, made by the owner’s wife—her pimento cheese is truly the best we’ve ever tasted. The wines, all Spanish varietals, were exceptional. The wine flight was a great way to get a taste of everything. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we picked up a bottle at Central Market in Austin as soon as we got back! If you’re in Fredericksburg, don’t miss out on this gem!
