This a fantastic location with absolutely beautiful views. The rooms WERE a bit dated, as someone else mentioned..however for the price we paid, the views and location, the service we’ve received, and our all around experience here, we’ve definitely not noticed. The room was super clean and comfortable, not a lot of noise at night which is all we’re worried about, and best of all is the staff here. We came into our room and the bed was off frame for some reason and they promptly sent maintenance to fix the issue and they provided more pillow since my husband had a bad neck injury and was experiencing neck pain. We only stayed two nights this time but we will definitely be back. The only thing we haven’t checked out here is the pool area but will be going soon. Thank you to everyone who works here for making our experience great!!!!

Nice, comfy room. Wonderful staff and nice hot cocoa at the reception desk for the frigid weather. My only complaint was the noisy heater unit. It was too cold to venture out and look at other options for dinner, but the restaurant on the first floor had good selections. Maybe because it's WI, but most everything had cheese in it.

I had a simple procedure done at the hospital and was scheduled to return the very next morning in the early morning hours so my mother booked a room for me and called the hotel to make sure everything was taken care of and she was assured that it was I wouldn't have any problems at check in I arrived The lady behind the desk knew my situation I didn't have any cards on me at the time I was glad I had my ID with me so she waved the $25 incidental charge on a card and sent me to my room I had no problems with any of the staff until my husband arrived My husband is a tattoo artist so he has tattoos on his face and he has piercings The second he showed up was when the problem started our smoke detector went off we were not smoking in the room but they claim we were we were not and at 11:30 at night I received a phone call from the front desk telling me to bring my identification down immediately I got out of bed went downstairs and that's when I was told that I needed to pay $25 on an actual credit card which they knew I did not have and I told him I couldn't do that that the lady earlier had had waived that fee for me and they kicked me out of the motel in the middle of a snowstorm at midnight My mother paid nearly $200 for that room and they asked me to leave over $25 incidental charge there was no smoke in that room it was completely clean what they did was they profiled my husband immediately and that's why we had to leave they just used the smoke detector as the reason. My daughter was scheduled to have her wedding venue there this summer and she no longer is going to do that so they lost out on a $15,000 wedding venue over $25.

Positive: I liked the hot cocoa with mini marshmallows and mini chocolate chips at the reception area on such a cold day. I loved the scent around the building - the air freshener. The bed was very comfy. All the staff were friendly and gracious. Negative: I wish there had been an extra blanket in the closet. The heater in the room made a lot of loud bellowing noises when I turned up the temperature. I did inform the front desk on my way out.

Nice quiet hotel, great food in restaurant. Nice pool and whirlpool but the pool's a little small. City view room. Temps in the 20s outside, it was hard to get the room warm. Heat source had a very weak fan and was near the ceiling (poor design you can't do much about) Reasonable rates, I will be back!

I stayed here for one week for work. I brought my dog and the pet room was carpet free and clean. All staff were accommodating, housekeeping occurred on a daily basis, and the restaurant was delicious. The location was perfect with easy access to walk downtown and along the lake.

Stayed here for a night recently. The location is great, right downtown next to the La Crosse Center. The hotel is getting a little dated but still nice. If there is an event at the La Crosse Center you may not get a parking spot if you're fighting that traffic even though they aren't supposed to park there. The mattress was my only complaint... was saggy and uncomfortable. Nice / easy check in and check out process.

Stayed here recently for a show in town. Poor experience overall. The room wasn't clean, which is usually all I care about.There was hair on the bathroom floor and "clean" towels, and the sink handle was visibly unclean. There was a beverage stain on the nightstand and the drawer was left open. I stayed on the top floor and there was a loud rattling sound through the HVAC or on the roof that kept me up at times. Room was also quite dated, much more than the pics show. Not at all worth $399 they were charging for just one king bed for a night. For that price a microwave would be nice. Great location, but there's other nearby hotels that I will try when I'm in the area again.
