Fantastic drinks, food and views!
Thomas was a top notch waiter and I hope he makes tons of friends and money doing a job he’s so very good at. Honestly, all the staff were super friendly and the service was outstanding. The depot bathrooms were in desperate need of ventilation but don’t let the stank fool you, they’re clean and well kept. Even on board the train! Super cool to roam around the cars and see the inner workings of everything.
The gorge itself was incredible!! I could do that every weekend and still see new things every time. Highly recommend the route railroad!!

So my overall experience was really lovely. My party did not have food but we did order drinks. The reason my rating is only 3 stars is due to the fact that I felt the train ticket price was very expensive and did not include anything else, drinks or food. For what it was, it was over priced. The gift shop was fun and had some cool items in it. The staff were also really friendly. If you don’t mind spending the money it’s a nice option to do during the day to see some nice views and share a meal.

This experienced was stunning. The train takes through some beautiful terrain that is otherwise inaccessable. You are able to go to a section and stand outside the whole time, we paid for the dome seating and were only sat inside while eating. Otherwise you can stand exposed to the elements for as long as you desire! This was nice since our morning trip was less crowded but the outside car experience may not be as enjoyable if it's packed. The breakfast food was okay, I wish we would have been able to get lunch items depsite the early departure time. I would do this again as it's relaxing, breathtaking, and a train ride!!!

This was the highlight of the trip! Definitely worth the price, good drinks and great service. I learned a lot about the rich history and had a fantastic time. We just had some drinks, can't wait to go back and try one of the dinner trains!

We took the santa express and the views were mesmerizing. Its stunning all around. Everyone enjoyed the ride a lot. My only gripe would be that the ride could have been a bit longer for the price. At $100+ for a ticket, I expected more. Definitely plan on coming again!

The train ride is one of our favorite things we've done on our trip to Colorado crowd favorite amongst all of our companion travelers. Great views open their carts are great but get crowded. If you get the panoramic upgraded car with the large Windows you'll have a table which is a big bonus. Food is mediocre to just okay but we did not go there to eat we went there for the views and it far surpassed our expectations. Very happy that we made this decision and drove 2 1/2 hours. Our server Adriana was superb and you'll be fortunate if you're lucky enough to get her. Absolutely a must do.

I had such an amazing time! I booked a mini solo trip to Colorado for my birthday and immediately bought myself a ticket for The Royal Gorge train. I had seen beautiful videos on social media and knew I had to add this adventure to my trip.

The hospitality was top tier! I felt so welcome and comfortable the whole time. The views were incredible! The staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable of the rich history of the railroad.

Aside from the wonderful ambiance and incredible views, the staff made my birthday trip even more memorable. Hubie and Broc went above and beyond to make my day feel even more special. They were such gems!

I had the best time! Such a wonderful experience! I have been telling everyone about it.
