staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. I learned a lot about both the harvesting process and growing process. They also have a nice little military museum next door as well as a gift shop. I bought a cotton blanket at the gift shop and it’s so cozy and warm. Definitely recommend this place 😊

Its not a huge space but it is well maintained and is pretty comprehensive. Come here to learn all things cotton. Located right next to the Bishopville VFW which has its own museum as well.

We live in Greer and had to go to Bennettsville, SC to pick up a Kaufman trailer and on the way back we decided to visit the Cotton Museum. This was my first time to visit this museum. It cost $4 for seniors. I learned a lot about the cotton crop in SC and I enjoyed my visit.

We rocked on down to the SC Cotton Museum. We were electrified by Eddie Grant's educational and entertaining explanations and story telling while visiting this fascinating museum. Way better than we could have imagined. Support this museum by getting off the main road and while you are there, explore this great small Southern gem. Check out my pictures and videos to preview all the interesting exhibits.

Great little small town gem. You can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into this museum. We were greeted soon as we walked in the door and provided with an introduction to the museum and a few interesting facts about cotton and the textile business.

There is also a connected veterans museum in the adjoining building. Lots of neat facts and artifacts from the various conflicts the US has been involved in.

Highly recommend you check this place out if you are in the area.

Great day trip location to visit. Very informative and well laid out. From picking and production to everything in between, this museum has an incredible amount of static displays, photographs, art work and plaques that explain it all. Eddie Grant was an excellent host, his knowledge of the cotton industry is second to none. Extremely friendly, funny, and personable. I highly recommend you stop by this just off the freeway museum in Bishopville SC to see for yourself just how the cotton industry touches more than just your clothing and Q-tips

First time at a cotton museum and it was surprisingly very informative and a load of history. My daughter (6yrs old) enjoyed watching how cotton is grown and what it can become, basically it shows from seed to end result whether it’s yarn or clothing and she really enjoyed seeing all the process and machinery. The lady at the front was amazing (forgot her name) the veterans museum was nice so you get two for one museums.
