Owner needs a lesson in business etiquette and professionalism and perhaps streamlining her scheduling protocols. Most importantly, her professionalism is sorely lacking for someone who says she "owns" the business. These research companies should find a replacement.

I dealt with the owner regarding the intake for a marketing study and she was nothing but rude and belittling. Per the owner "I don't care if you felt it (was) hostile. That's your choice to feel that way. But I wont speak differently to please you. I own the company specifically for the reason that no one can tell me when or how to speak".
