At the beginning of the month, I reached out to a studio that supposedly had the exact lighting and backdrop setup I’ve been wanting to use. It has been a nightmare just trying to get in touch with the owner, but the times we did talk and book the studio space, he *confirmed* that everything I needed was available at his studio, except some plexiglass which I told him I would purchase myself and leave it up at the studio for him to have. (I sent him screen shots from photos HE posted on socials on how the studio set ups are) Apologized for it being hard to get a hold of him- so i assumed once i book it would be easier with communication.
I carefully selected a few amazing ladies for this boudoir experience, set a date, and coordinated everything down to the hour. Many of these women had to travel 1–3 hours to get here, and one even took the entire day off work just for this. The owner assured me he would meet me at the studio at 9:00 AM, which gave me time to prep before sessions began at 10:00.
But guess what? He ghosted me. And still is.
I’ve called him. I’ve texted him. Repeatedly. And absolutely nothing. He didn’t show up and never gave me instructions on how to get in OR how to use the equipment like he said he would. Another photographer who uses the space met me to let me in. Even yesterday i texted him multiple times since the address he gave literally pins the middle if the highway. Nothing. Had to text a photographer and she sent me the exact directions on how to get there.
Got inside, I was hit with even more chaos. There was *no electricity* and the backdrop I specifically booked this studio for DOES NOT EVEN EXIST. I showed the other photographer a photo of the setup the owner claimed he had, and her response? “Oh, I’ve never even seen that setup in this location.”
Are you kidding me?!
This man outright lied to me, DOESNT CALL OR TEXT BACK FOR DAYS AND A COMPLETE NO SHOW!!!
I had no choice but to call my clients, in tears, to tell them we had to cancel the entire day. These women invested their time and energy into this experience, and now it’s all ruined. This reflects directly on me, my professionalism, and my brand, and I am absolutely livid.

***UPDATE** 10:30 am Chris just called me (Mind you, my session would have started at 10). He asked if "Drew" met me up at the studio. I told him I don't know who Drew is and I'm not supposed to be meeting Drew, I'm supposed to be meeting him. He said he called Drew yesterday to tell him to meet me so then I asked why he didn't call me to tell me, even when I have been trying to get a hold of him for days. He said he didn't think about it, he had family things going on. He thought about calling Drew, but not me, tell me how that makes sense. Even said he completely forgot. He did apologize for his communication and even said something along the lines of him not checking his phone (specifically the one I have been calling and texting? Apparently he has multiple). I asked him how else would I know he has a different phone if that's the one we have been communicating on. He did offer to call the warehouse owners to see about electricity and asked me to call back my clients to bring them back in. I declined and told him that we no longer will be using him or the studio for anything again. He did take full responsibility for his crappy communication but that doesn't change anything. Worst experience ever
