A welcome addition to the Castro for sure. Just inside the door you are greeted with an instagram worthy greenery wall & super friendly staff. To your left is every bottle of wine you can think of for any occasion, and they happen to carry hard to find Lillet Blanc. On the right is an inviting selection of staples, small, pre-made meals, & an impressive cheese section. The take-out coffee, pastry, etc has its own adjacent space, and bonus parklets.

This is your go-to place for all things picnic.

They went out of their way to track down a product I've seen in their other locations.
On this freakishly hot summer day I was pleasantly surprised to experience air conditioning! Very rare in this land of coastal breezes.
I'll definitely be a regular to pick up their excellent fresh bread which arrives daily.
100% recommend.

Epicurean Trader has been a game-changer for our neighborhood. After the struggles of COVID and the abundance of mediocre restaurants in the area, this store has truly elevated Duboce Triangle in the best way possible. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warmest, friendliest staff who make every visit a pleasure. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and always ready with a recommendation, whether it’s the perfect wine pairing, a unique local product, or just a quick chat that brightens your day. Their selection is absolutely top-notch—artisanal cheeses, thoughtfully curated wines, specialty foods, and so many unique items that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether I’m grabbing something as a quick snack, a special gift, or just exploring, I always leave with something amazing. What makes Epicurean Trader truly stand out is how it brings our community together. It feels like a hub where quality meets connection, and that’s something our neighborhood really needed. We’re so lucky to have Epicurean Trader here—both for their incredible offerings and for their wonderful staff who also who make it feel like home.

Nice staffs! But it’s hard to convince me to shop there when there is so many $$$pecialty grocery/cafe/ wine cheese sandwich places in Castro/mission/Duboce neighborhood.
Sometimes you run out of necessities like orange juice, almond milk, yogurt or something but you don’t even see the brands you like in there. So even it’s closer to where you live, you have to walk to whole foods bite rite mollie instead and on the way to there you probably pass by a few wine juices coffee bakery places…and probably cheaper !!!
So what’s the catch ? It makes more sense this is in marina or ferry building .. but it’s in the middle of an extremely walkable neighborhood mixed with residential and commercial … maybe consider having more everyday living items available and beat your competitors with cheaper prices? Like we really don’t need another place that sells boxed water!

Be careful before you purchase anything here. They don’t tell you but no returns.

Absolutely awful customer support. Would not accept a return for an un opened, un used item. Purchased 12 mins before trying to return. They do not advertise that they don’t do this until you’ve already purchased.
