Used door dash. This place should be called outhouse. See the pictures of $9 worth of fried mushrooms. The texas toast was just a regular piece of bread that didn't even have any butter. I will say though, the food tasted great.

If you like corks and cattle or Rawls you NEED to visit this place. The service was amazing and the steak tips were by far the best steak dish I’ve had in lower Alabama. Also the beer and cocktail menu has a great variety of selections to suit anyone’s need, craft and domestic. I had a cucumber cooler that was super refreshing mixed perfectly. I promise you will not be disappointed. The photo was after I dived in so not perfect

I happened to be passing through New Brockton Alabama, and it was suggested that we stop and eat at The Outpost. The restaurant is nearly impossible to see because of the privacy fencing in front of it. The parking lot needs some filling in of the catfish pond size holes. This did not deter me from going inside and checking out the food and the atmosphere of this place. Getting inside was a walk from the parking lot up the side of the building towards the street across the front and back down another side towards the woods. Once I got inside the place actually looks pretty darn nice. Now if you love woodwork the way I do then this is going to work for you too. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries. My wife had fried catfish filets, cheese grits and doubled fried okra. The food was very good and tasty and came out nice and hot. It turns out it's not a bad place to go to to get some good food. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that we received. However when we went, there was not many people there so we received great attention and service to our table. There is a stage and a courtyard where there may be some live entertainment sometime. I did not get to see that on my visit. We went during lunch time. All In All I'm going to give it a 4 stars anyway and recommend stopping to eat there.

Had a really nice family dinner here. Really enjoyed it! Had lots of items on the menu, so something for everyone. Do serve alcohol. Not crowded, but picked up some as we were leaving.

I will start off with the positive, the food was good, no complaints with the taste of food. Now onto the rest. First off we walked in and the person that seated us not friendly to us at all. We sat down at a booth and there was salt all over the table. The waitress came over and asked for our drink order, I asked for a coke and the response was, we are out of coke. As I am looking over the menu, I really wish the menu had descriptions on it. There are a lot of options with no descriptions. When she came back to take our order, I asked what cowboy bites were and she told me that and I got them and they were good. I asked what a Kentucky Headhunter was, which is listed under sandwiches and she said to be honest I am new here and I don't know. She did not offer to find out either. I asked her if she knew what all came on the Cheeseburger Quesadilla and she said well I think just the burger and cheese so I order it and guess what, it was loaded with chopped onion and BBQ sauce. I do not like onion that much, there were some bites that had more onion than burger. I would not have ordered it if I knew it had onion and BBQ sauce . I will say that it did have good flavor and I was able to eat it. On the menu it also did not say that sandwiches came with a side it just said you can add a side. My hubby ordered an item that we saw as a special on a sign when we came in. She asked him if he wanted fries and he asked, well does it come with them and she said yes, so he said yes he will take them if it comes with them. He was not going to get a side but she said it came with it so he said ok. When we got our bill however, there was a charge on it separate for french fries. I also overheard them tell multiple people that they were out of things like lemons, sirloin, etc.. My biggest thing is either your servers should be trained to know what everything is on menu or you need to have descriptions on the menu.

One of our favorite places to eat. I'm so glad they added live music. I recommend the BBQ fries. They are by far my favorite.
