Absolutely terrible customer service. Attempted to cancel my subscription online, would not allow me and informed me to contact customer service. I’ve called multiple times and no one answers.

The news they offer is mediocre and often times repetitive, the editing within the articles is horrific and as if an elementary student had done the corrections. The stories they offer are boring as well with little to no content.

This newspaper is clearly failing as I hear less and less of my friends and coworkers subscribing.

*** put in request to cancel subscription on 07/17/24, customer service is giving me issues within request. Will update to see if they actually do it.

*** customer service rep insulted me and stated I could not financially afford it…stated July 24th,2023 will be last subscription

Extremely shady and unethical company. In a single calendar year, they gradually increased my digital subscription rate from $5.00 to $18.99. That's nearly a 400% increase!!

I can't locate any records of a contract with them, and there are no options to cancel online (which feels illegal for a digital subscription). You need to call and talk to someone in an oversees call center and convince them to cancel. The representative then claimed they canceled my plan, but only provided me a string of digits they claimed was their employee ID. I called my bank to dispute any future fees PS might attempt to charge me.

Sad this paper is now owned by a scammy business conglomerate.

The Post-Star is a totally corrupt company. I have been trying to call the offices and staff for days and none of the telephone numbers connect to anybody. After repeatedly raising my monthly online subscription rate, I cancelled. I received no online papers for weeks or charge until 2024 when I discovered the charge was once again levied against my credit card. I have been unsuccessful trying to reach the company to dispute the bill.

My mom recently passed away. The funeral home had her obituary to them in a timely manner and was all set for the Sunday paper. Today is Monday and it has not gone in yet. It is on line but I would say majority of her age group do not view it on line!! They were so accommodating and will not charge us and put it in Tuesdays paper(same day as calling hours)šŸ™„ Very upset

Attempting to cancel your subscription through the website is a rabbit hole of links that leads you to a blank screen telling you to contact customer support without even redirecting you there or providing any links or emails. When you actually do manage to find the emails of the generic customer service and specific individuals listed under customer support, don't be surprised if you never receive a response. I've also never gotten a single automated email notifying me of my unwanted subscription renewals and instead find out through my bank. Very annoying for a broke college student who just needed access to a few articles for an assignment.

Trying to cancel my subscription. I was on hold for over 45min. Said to leave my number and I’d get a phone call when their agents weren’t busy. Been 2hrs and no call. The payment has gone up with no notification. I’m lucky if I get the paper 3x a week. I left a message for credits a couple months ago and nothing happened. I’ve had it with this joke of a newspaper.

This is the only left-leaning publication in the region. It has been under constant attack by the locally owned Chronical. Some of the attacks are justified, yet the Chronical is clearly supporting lying Elise Stefanick and Psychotic Trump. It has had a hard time finding people to reliably deliver the paper, so that went away. Down to three days a week, they are struggling to find their voice and their readership. I have subscribed for 10 years, and even with it down to 3 days a week, it's still a deal at $2.13 and issue - delivered to my mailbox. Studies have shown that when a community loses its newspaper, the economy declines. I like that it has independent, ALTERNATIVE COVERAGE to local issues. I suggest that everyone be patient, work with these people, call and write them. They are "people" like the rest of us, they want to keep their local jobs and support our community.

Unbelievable.

Can’t cancel my online subscription, there’s no option online.. you have to call, and when you do call, you need to be put with some foreign call station that acts like they can’t hear you, and that they need to hang up and assist other customers.

This is obviously a way to scam people out of money.

One way or another I’m getting my subscription canceled, and not only will it be canceled, I will make sure I make it my life’s ambition to make sure they don’t make another dollar from anyone I know.
